This plugin will create a grid of macros for you to set your fixtures' colors with during a punt show without having to keep them in the live programmer.
Tried this out on my New Years Eve gig a couple days ago and it works flawlessly. Thanks a ton for sharing this and making it work so easily.

Worked great! I have been wanting to build a color grid for awhile but I haven't had the time to build it manually. The macro generator was exactly what I needed. Thanks for the plugin! I'll be downloading the delay sweep next:)
Wow, exactly what I was searching for. I love how you made this setup completely customizable in terms of selecting each preset type, preset number and group seperately.
Also good idea using one whole sequence for each row

I recently saw a Christian Jackson video and Color Effect Generator. I understood 100% the context of everything he said. My pin for you is the second. I could do this effect with your plug-in, because it uses another metric macro that I also understand, but this tool is much more practical and functional, congratulations to the work you draw. Hi there and thanks for this superb plugin, saves alot of time. I just downloaded your plugin version 1.8.1. Aside from the fixed executor and sequence in the plugin's code (and not asking with a dialog like in the video), I have another problem, well a small one. Currently the plugin is only creating the colors for each fixture type but not the All variant which switches all fixtures together to the same color. I'm just stating this, since I don't know if you did this on purpose, but the video states otherwise. I know I can fix this by creating macros with 3 lines referencing exec 500.101, 102 and 103 and then the appropriate cue, but just mentioning this :-) thanks again.

after adding the groups pool it doesn't ask me for any sequence or macros don't know what's wrong?

altough is it possible to make the 'current' selection of colors apply into the programmer? so i can store them in cues and maybe faders.
Not directly, but two things you could do are:
1. Make a group of all the fixtures you want included for storing, select this group, and double-tap your Color preset tab to pull all color information for those fixtures into the programmer. This will probably be the most straightforward method. OR:
2. With the colors set how you want them, hold down Store, use Prog as your data source (even though you technically don't have information in the programmer), and use Look as your selection. Then go to the top right of that screen for your Store Filter. Click on None in the top right corner, then go click on the Color tab on the far left, and it should select all features and attributes related to color. What this does is store color information for every fixture that has an intensity greater than 0 (i.e. is visible) into your cue.

hello its nice to use theese plugings dat you given :) ty for sharing . i wondering why ,when i create macros ; there are no any ''all color macros '' i can made. i mean... select preset than select colors which i will use, than groups which i want to add for grid than creat macros = all color macro for all group not founded :D i dont know why its not create for all froups ... i think i missing someting ...
Mine isnt working correctly. I get through the colors and the groups... once I hit enter again, it starts flashing and highlighting different fixtures, but it doesn't actually do anything. It never gives me a chance to enter sequence or macro. Help!?
ok, I lied. It automatically applied the macro and the Sequence WAYYYYYY down in the list.... Macro AND Sequence 1001 automatically.

0:50 How would I get those colors in the first place?
After I enter my last group, I hit enter, then my buttons were flashing like it was going through and storing them but it never asked for my starting sequence number or my starting macro number. Do you know why this could be?
You are using a newer version. That information is now entered in a "user config" section at the top of the plugin script itself. If you downloaded it more than two weeks ago, there was an issue with the .zip file. The current download should include a file labelled "v1.7+ Usage Instructions.txt" for changes from the version displayed here =) Hope this helps

When i assign the macros, the appearance isn't in the layout.... HELP
You might have to edit the icon types in the layout to have a Visualization value of "Pool Item" rather than "Simple Icon".

Version 1.8 will have more features, but does not set up exactly the same as the video shows. There are instructions for the new setup included in the v1.8 folder to help with the new setup =)

Your best option would be to re-install it on the new file - which is the target of having a plugin to build it.
Theoretically you could PSR it to another show, but the point of making this installer was that it only takes 2 minutes to build new in a different show file with no risk of macro overwrites that you risk when doing a PSR.
Hey Giaffo, I'm having a bit of an issue with the plugin. My problem is after inputting colors and groups I am not prompted for starting sequence or starting macros. Any input on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
The newer version V 1.7.1 I believe,has a user config section,so right click on the Plugin in MA and at the top you will see the user config area,there is where you enter all the information.

useless feature. for example: if you want to set another color for every 2nd beam you still need to select every 2nd beam and set color from library or picker..
How's it a useless feature? If you want every other beam to have a different colour just make odd and even groups and then run this. It's not exactly rocket science.
ok. what if i want another color or not every odd etc... and you can just running ALL spots\beams by these buttons. you can't select 1 spot and run the color by this method. you still need use libraries for maximum flexibility
If you want to do stuff like select 1 spot and apply a colour, then you'd just select that spot and apply a preset. This method is for those who'd rather not have colour data in the programmer during their show.
