I find this to be quite possibly their most instantly likable song to date. I don't necessarily think that makes it their *best*, or even *my favourite* to date, but it's a great one for sure - an instant Jinjer classic. This is some of my favourite vocal melodic composition from Tati, & I love her extensive use of her *gorgeous* head voice to hit highs in this piece, a part of her vocal repertoire that we've heard very little of before now. The section with the combined guitar & bass tapping with great tom drum groove is incredible, & I love the Opethy outro. Even the stripped down, simple chuggy riffs in the last two heavy sections are a welcome addition, as Jinjer fans usually have to struggle to head bang to Jinjer's weird rhythms & unusual, shifting time signatures (which I also love, of course).
Careful Jinjer can be addictive, I think that I have listened to a Jinjer song at least a couple Jinjer songs a day for the last 8 years and sometimes I will just Jinjer binge. Jinjer is also great if you add bands like Ignea, Infected Rain, Butcher Babies, Archenemy. Kinda of a Jinjer cocktail.
Amaizing Song!
They are so awesome live. Just saw them Oct 2nd. Yes I bought a bunch of merch! Dude. Nugs instead of grapes... nice.
thanx for your reaction to one of the best bands out there in the last decades.........
warm greetings from the german musician
Exactly standard thing. But the bass... but the guitar.... but the vocals.... but the drums. So you listen over and over and over.
