I moved some Philips Hue bulbs to my basement. I'll show you how to create a group and some scenes using the Groups and Scenes app in Hubitat. Then I'll show you how to add those tiles to your dashboard
Very timely as I am in the process of completing my Hue bulb integration. One point of confusion though. HE docs states grouping should be done within the Hue Bridge rather than HE or did I read something incorrectly? Also, have you had any luck setting your bulbs to come on at a lower brightness, then fade up to 100% over a specified time? I haven’t been able to make work.
I don't remember reading that groups should be done inside of HE but honestly I'm a guy.... who reads documentation?! I throw it out and force it to do what I want! As far as getting the bulbs to come on at a lower brightness and up to 100% over a specifed time, I do that with a scene transition. Can't remember if I included that in my groups and scenes video, I don't think so. I'll put that on my list of videos to make
KMM Tech yeah, I read solutions to issues, reactive rather than proactive. I was having issues with popcorn effect and was told having groups set up in HE generated multiple commands and if the group was in Hue there was only the one command. Changing did eliminate the popcorn issue.
I am looking to move from HomeSeer all of my rooms in that application fade from existing scene including off to the new scene. I am using hue bulbs across most lights. I don’t need to know what the current scene is (it could be anything) I just set the transition time for each bulb in the scene. Is it possible to do the same thing in Hubitat? Also is it a better to use the Hubitat zigbee hub or use the Phillips Hue hub?

What's the upper limit on the number of rows and columns? I'm wondering if scaling those up affects load times adversely (even if cells are empty).
