I found out about her music only recently, while driving on a long road trip and listening to my daughter’s playlist. I was amazed and had to ask ‘who is that!?’. I must say that her incredible vocal ability, the compositions and her lyrics are supernatural. She is truly one of the few artists that I have been moved enough by to literally stop everything, and want to hear more, [and…as a musician myself, I am very particular! ]. Now that I see how beautiful she is, and what a great performer she is, I am completely taken. What a blessing it is to have such talent exist in our lifetimes. I agree that She deserves a LOT more notice and praise. I hope she continues to make her music for a long time. Cheers.

I remember a comment saying how marina doesn't actually make music videos for the sake of them, she makes them to match the visual of what she thinks would fit for the song's melody and i absolutely agree! the first part of the video in the chorus [ 1:12 ] where she says for one more night while the rollercoaster was moving gave me the chills. i am personally a huge electropop fan and i feel like this genre of music gives me indescribable euphoria. and marina seems to know how to exactly serve this beauty of a music kind.

Like fr Froot is one of her best albums. I don’t understand how people managed to sleep on the album and the following one though.
Am I the only one who thinks this song is really heartbreaking in a way? If I understand these lyrics right, Marina writes that she is sad. She doesn't want to feel "blue" anymore, and she wants love, dreams, and a good self esteem. So she keeps going back to the same person over and over again in hopes that they could heal her and make her happy again. And then in her song "Happy" she says that she finally found that person, and they "watch over her." They give her a purpose and a reason to finally feel happy. The album Froot has so much depth and meaning behind it. Marina is amazing, I really hope she continues to produce music for a really long time.

This is exactly what I understood of these songs too. I've been crying for 2 weeks since I first heard this. This is what I feel right now. It's heartbreaking.
If you hear the first line you can see how it relates to "Electra heart"... She writes about being a heartbreaker so in this song she runs away and she breaks up with this person... But she goes back because she regrets it and wants love and good self esteem. Selfish reasons. That's why she doesn't care whether she loves this person or not.
I don't remember that part in 'Happy' but she said that it doesn't mean that she will never be upset it's innate that we all feel pain and get sad, and I don't recall her saying that it was about finding someone it was 'her' finding happiness in herself. 🍋

I'm sorry if this sounds sexist, but, I have to say it. She has got to be THE most beautiful woman on earth. That being said, she also has the voice of an enchantress. I can't get her voice out of my head. She could sing the ingredient list of diet coke and I would buy it off of itunes. It is a travesty that she is not more popular in North America.
