Pretty much on par with Risen Valstrax in terms of difficulty, but i think Risen Shaggy is bearable just because he's on Forlorn arena. I'll try heroics next but i doubt that i can get a sub 3 even with heroics. Some of his attacks are total bs because the cannot be metsu'd. Also, idk how to play heroics with bloodlust, even though frenzied bloodlust is a really good skill.

Recently getting back into rise. Game feels good and in terms of customizability, like if scrolls weren't a thing I think it'd have gotten sick of the game. But being able to switch playstyles on the fly is amazing
Yeah, scroll swap is a good addition. But most of the time I just stick to one scroll anyway unless I'm hunting casually
@@judaulul I think that's what I mean. The ability to try hard or play a more fun, flashy style casually with friends on the fly is something that I have really grown to appreciate with the game. I'm an LS player so having good element, raw, wake ups, status procs, counters, i-frames, and of course the even bigger circle making it easier to just zone a monster all by yourself in a 4 player hunt
@@BloodNobleofSoD yea ikr with the new LS buff you can actually play harvest moon now just like in a speedrun even in multiplayer. Tried it before with my friend and it works really well lol
For a few weapons the scroll swap works, for the other not so much

I'm using embolden 3, basically it's evade window 5
I thought embolden was only EW 3 and Guard 3?

Embolden 2 = evade window 3, guard 3
Embolden 1 = evade window 1, guard 1

A new hunter who comes from New World, and I struggle to control myself from spamming backstep when a monster is down... I just recently learned that Blade Waltz combo is actually the most DPS combo in this game, LoL. And, do you have any tips pulling the guard-rising slash combo? It's harder to pull than World, somehow.
Anyone know what continuous combo he’s using?
normal slash loop. idk the button on controller but its chop-lateral slash-return stroke-roundslash-repeat

Anyone know why they never used perfect rush and instead opted for a normal swing combo

Overall, damage wise is not bad but in that 1 PR animation you can do 2-3 slash combos, and you're not stationary in one place either so you're not vulnerable.
The only way to use PR right now is when you want to save sharpness, buildup stun, high hzv, and after procing offensive guard.
@@judaululi kinda liked this approach. Being slicky sticky to the monster and swinging nonstop is the original SnS soul, instead of Perfect Rush hit and run style. Normal swings actually do damage is awesome.
How in the world you killed him that fast? We almost have same damage output per hit. Im at almost 600 attack (uses poison/physical build, lvl3 bloodlust and coalescence, max agitator). Im bad at timing metsu so i did not use off. guard. 🤯🤯🤯🤯

You need to put yourself infront of the attack/roar, the easiest one to try is Rathian. Once you can do it against it it's easy to do it to other monsters, although some monsters needs different positioning tho

But i do on average not even half your damage.
While a lateral chop of your does around 120dmg i do 60. What am i missing? Plus i don't like metsu i use it once just to stun the enemy then i spam windmill

well thats too bad then since my build are for metsu and i used offensive guard lvl 3, thats 15% bonus raw damage. i also used dragon conversion which gives me a lil bit of elemental boost. did you used it against risen shagaru? damage may differ since different monsters got different hitzones, thus resulting in different damage. i also use Mail of Hellfire on red scroll since it gives me +35 raw, while blue scroll gives you 30% element.
SNS is a raw focused weapon most of the time, my build are focused on raw damage, with element as a bonus. if youre going for elemental i suggest you to use Mail of Hellfire (blue scroll) + strife

1) Are you testing this on Shagaru/Risen Shagaru?
2) The build im using are focused on raw, with mail of hellfire(+35 raw damage, thus increasing the percentage damage that i got from Attack boost 7 and Offensive guard 3)on red scroll, offensive guard (15% bonus raw damage, thats alot)
3) The element bonus damage skills that i used are only dragon attack 5 and dragon conversion
4) Did you augment your weapon?
5) Did you eat any dango booster? Do you have powertalon-powercharm? Did you use might seed - demon powder?
6) I have lvl 3 of adrenaline rush (+30 damage) and lvl 1 of burst (+10 damage)
7) I used anti-aerial deco (5% damage, which works with other raw increasing damage, especially percentage bonus)
Other than that, i dont know what went wrong on your side tbh :/
@@judaulul I thought percentage damage boost applied first, then the flat bonus? do they add the flat bonus then multiply with the AB 10% + OG 15% after? what about AR, Burst, and other flat bonuses, does that applied first?
@@ewy4010 I think bonuses that works before quest (AB, MoH red scroll) applied before the percentage bonus from things like OG, BuB. But flat damage bonuses that works inside the quest (adrenaline rush, burst etc) only applied after all the percentage bonus have been calculated.
Is this build new best element SNS now?
No, not really. I put in dragon conversion just because I have the charm for it and it can increase my element slightly. If it's for dragon, dragonheart 5 and dragon conversion 3 is the way. That alone can give you 150+ drag element with full ele augment. From my test before DH5+DC3 will get you 220 dragon element with Valstrax soul.
I wish I can try it but playing around dragonheart when you're not using heroics is just a pain. At some point I need to heal a bit since using max potion will remove dragonheart, and risen shagaru chip damage are insane.
But for element SNS, dragon conversion + furious is okay but will lose out element than MoH + strife. But DC + furious can get you more raw because of MoH on red scroll.

@@dominic282 yeah, in terms of element MoH + strife is still better, unless you're using dragon

I have returned to Sunbreak a few days ago, after 2 months or more; i suffered a burn out, and focused on Splatoon 3.
But i'm back, and if i had a capture card, i would have shown you how i improved on the Guard Slash - in *one* week, surprisingly.
In fact, you can perform the Perfect Rush without the jump if you press A after a successful Guard Slash.
One more thing: Risen Shaggy is a blast!

Base game yes. This expansion called Sunbreak will be added soon.
Sunbreak is added this Friday. But only to Title Update 3. 4 and 5 will be added after Switch and PC get their last update
