Excellent cake! The taste is great, the texture is fluffy and soft, and the crust is delicious! The first time I made it I doubled the recipe, and it was fantastic, the second I tripled it and added orange zest, almonds, and nuts to the recipe and it's a family favorite! - Thank you so much!

2020 is my year to spread baking wings! Am working on an orange olive oil but!! I do want to learn a lavender cake to layer with it! Cakes take me a little to perfect.But this lemon, lavender cake looks amazing!

I'd steep the tea in milk and use that milk as the liquid in the cake.

I did not know you could put lavender oil in the cakes as I thought this was an oil only for body

Absolutely. It's also used in dressings, breads, teas, etc. From what I've read it has great medicinal benefits when consumed.

Make sure it's pure 100% essential oil (the real deal), not fragrance oil. And that's it's certified organic, food safe. When using, only a small tiny amount is needed, it's strong stuff.
