The sound engineer's job is so diverse that it's crazy. Like, he's not just there to hit record. Or even just to make sure everything works the way it should. He's so a part of the creative process that when Rob is not happy with the song, he's there to help and reassure and keep driving the session forward. So shout out to the sound engineer, as always.

This video series literally fixed the weird anxiety that I had about writing music. I always felt like, I don’t know, anything I wrote had to be profound or special or else it wasn’t worth recording.
Now I write and record music a lot, even if it’s just some silly nonsense. Not to prove anything to anyone, but just because it’s fun and I love doing it.
    Thank you both for this.

guys, this time you have really exeed yourself, every song is a banger from start to finish, the new 1 song per time metod has really worked! And i loved the new instruments and the pedalboard, I think the use of fx on guitar really gave you an edge over the first two albums (witch are already awesome!!). I sincerely love you guys, thanks for this new album! Guess I'll have to do a synth-bass cover of Greg! now :D

But seriously though, this is the best First of October album to date. I kind of assumes when they introduced how they were doing it it'd go poorly. But my god this album is a gift.

This is AMAZING! I read a comment that said "Imagine if they had a week to do this." I think that the magic comes from the authentic, random inspiration of creation. Its Organic, but not Vegan. Free Forming, as opposed to forced creativity. The time constraints force natural, organic deviation. A pleasure to watch you all work!
