There isn’t a more grateful person on YT making fishing videos that this man. Love his mom loves his country and love God. One channel I don’t have to worry about my kids watching with me. Thanks for putting out great content doing what you love. Be safe out there
I don't fish, never really been interested in fishing, and idk how I got recommended your vids, but I love watching your videos! Your vibe is so chill. Keep up the good work!
@@BamaSaltwater I think I find an attraction to your vids bc I've lived close to the Gulf all my life (since I was 5). Its super interesting to me how you go so far out in a bay boat, as well as the variety of species you catch. I once went 6 miles out on a chartered fishing trip out of South Padre and I thought that was intense lol. Had to stare at the horizon the entire time if you know what I mean..
Thanks for being my saltwater teacher. My wife and I are moving to Baldwin county from north Alabama when we retire in 2 years. I am learning how to fish the Gulf one video at a time. We've been beach fishing Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Dauphin Island, and Coden for years and really love Pompano. We can't wait to trade the freshwater boat for an off-shore center console. Maybe will see you at Hooked Up Bait and Tackle or the pier. We think the world of you! Thanks
Stephen … I’ve been binge watching your videos for the past 3+ hours. Been a subscriber for over a year and I occasionally binge watch your channel. You are a highly skilled salt water fisherman, excellent boat skipper, and a whale of a videographer!!! You have perfected the balance between entertainment and education!!! I thoroughly enjoy your channel!!! Question: do you ever take folks out for saltwater fishing adventures commercially. If I am ever in Alabama again, I would love to do a day trip out for reds and speckled trout. Anyways, I want to thank you for your Christian lifestyle and your military service!!! Me and mine wish you and yours all things great and good. God bless and be safe!!! Chuck Knight from Atascocita (Houston), Texas. ✝️🎣👨🌾🐩🦌🙏

You are the humblest fisherman down there in the Gulf Shores area. Thanks for taking us along with you. A question though...how fast are you going when trolling?
Thank you!! I just like to fish haha. and depends but most of the time with lures is 7-8 knots. Skirted ballyhoo, around 6 knots. and live bait, around 2 knots or less
Hi, Stephen. Fun video today. Have you ever considered doing a Q&A to answer viewer questions? My question would be, have you ever been spooked by anything when you were out fishing alone?
Would be a good idea one day for sure! And honestly, the freakiest things at night are dolphin. You don't know they are there until you hear the air hole right next to you in the pitch black. I know they're not looking to harm, but it's just surprising haha
Usually I'm super jelly watching your videos....but yesterday we managed to land a ~45" wahoo outside Sherman's C. Eatin' good in the neighborhood tonight. Keep flaunting your skills. Love the site.
I love your fishing videos they are my favourite. Im also a fisherman but i want to make videos like you but i dont have the courage to do that. You are filming and fishing thats awsome. I wanna make videos just like you.
I saw you when I was riding down the road today! I love the videos and thank you for putting this TH-cam channel together to make these awesome videos! Much love. Keeps up the good work
Thank you!! I just find it mesmerizing to experience something that we may see a lot down here but you dont get to experience that just anywhere!! Glad you enjoyed it.
I would love to see as a long time subscriber the electronics on your boat and how you use them. You always explain the bait and tackle setup, clean and cooks, and I think it would add to the presentation. Thanks for what you do and ROLL TIDE !
For sure, I'll try to integrate some. I keep it incredibly simple and fish all public numbers. I mainly use it for reef locations and natural bottom along with depth. I study a lot of charts online of recent water color reports, etc to find the fish!
Love spending my Saturday mornings with ya, and i could just replay that moment with the dolphins over and over and over lol. It was fantastic...I almost felt like I was there a moment lol. Have a great weekend and say hi to mom for me!
I love your channel so much and I always watch the video. You inspired me to start my own yt channel and I’m getting a jon boat for Christmas and hope to try to make similar videos but in my lake. Love you content thanks for the inspiration ❤
Love the channel we’re here in southeast La and fish Venice often pretty much the same rigs and techniques the videos are great to watch when we’re not on the water keep it up . What deck coating do u have installed on the boat and do u like it ?
Hey Steven! Me and my family watch every one of your videos when they drop and we enjoy watching you do exactly what we do in the gulf! They never comment, so here I am speaking on their behalf to say we love your content. Question, how close to shore have you successfully caught a wahoo?
Love your videos Steven! Very informative and fun to watch! You always have the best attitude! We have been to Orange beach once to fish and looking to buy a house down there. My wife is pushing for Destin but Orange Beach just seems like a chill laid back place.
What pound braid were you using on your heavy setup when that big one broke you off? I heard you say 50lb liter but I’m curious what you’re using for braid. Scratch that I spoke too soon
Steve, Can you do a video showing how you use the sonar to select the reefs and how you position the boat on the reefs. Been fishing the liberty ships and tanks and can't seem to limit out on snapper. Even with a trolling motor.
I do the same thumbs up as soon as I see your posting. I’m usually on my iPad, so after I thumbs up, I stream your video to my 75” tv and off we go fishing !
We have Grey Heron where I live (Pt. Conception area in CA) and they hunt gophers. They'll stand above a gopher mound, and wait for one to pop up. It's pretty crazy when they catch one.

@@creativecurbing Its tough on those "shallow" reefs (100 foot etc.) They dont have much room to run haha. Gotta winch em out with the engine and big tackle which is tough to do solo lol. I do much better fishing deeper for AJ's (aside from sharks lol)
@@BamaSaltwater I'm so jealous of y'all's water. If I want to get in that depth I gotta go 40-50 miles out. I go ten miles out and I'm in 65' of water. Gotta go 30 minimum to get to decent rigs, 50-100 for good rigs. Too scary to do without a buddy boat.
