And now that the other ones got a little older, she has them watch the youngest so sometimes they have to cancel visits with us to watch her so she can go out.

Well yeah if you have a pool or things that can get into yes. But if you're child proofing properly it shouldn't be a huge deal for 4-5 year olds to be left alone for a few minutes

Everyone in the home is responsible for one another period. That’s how you want your family to move out in the world.. it’s a unit.
