Most don't want to accept that their husbands or significant other had a life BEFORE THEM, and they get tired of the "revisits" if you will when the children reach milestones where the families are blended. I know TOO MANY instances of this, and that's why these unions typically don't last. Very seldom do you find a stepmother that can handle the situation with grace and GENUINELY embrace the child/children prior to her arrival.

I always say people forget that children do grow up and they do not forget! I remember everything that happened to my mother my entire life! Yes, I get it that the Bible says to respect our elders, but this is not being disrespectful. She clearly said to stop asking her, and she kept quiet as a child. We all watched this young lady grow up, and we all commented on how well behaved she was and how good she was.
So, now, you guys have unleashed her anger because you kept poking and disrespecting her wishes. She is not being disrespectful as she is telling her truth, which the First Amendment allows her to do, and she is an adult now! I reiterate that kids do grow up and remember everything! It's like I told my ex-husband and his family, "If you don't want your kids to tell what you did and what you said, then don't do it and don't say it, especially in their presence because they do not forget.
I am a living witness to everything I saw and heard as a child!!! Moreover, I listen to my daughter tell me things she remembers when she was a kid, which explains why she did not get alone with her father. Take the time to listen to kids when they want to talk as it clears their minds and contributes to mental health (developing a healthy mindset). Forcing children to hold in what is disturbing them contributes to mental stress and later depression then mental health challenges, and finally, mental illness.
This is why I took myself to see a psychologist, and because talking to her helped me, I went back to school and earned my second degree in Psychology. Then, I continued on and earned a graduate degree in Brain Research in deference to helping children.

@@LoveLove-no7zz This is why we used to say she was so well behaved. Erica and Scrappy raised that child with manners and rules, and she respected her parents' rules too. I recognize that old school rearing as my siblings and I were raised with those same rules.
An elder is someone who is old enough to be one's parent, not one's peer. An elderly person is even older than that, more like one's grandparent and beyond. If what she said about Bambi's age is true then Bambi is definitely old enough to be her mother.
However, now that she is 18 years old, she is speaking out after being constantly provoked. Yet, she still showed respect as she said several times to stop asking her about "that lady", which is still respectful considering she could have said something else (far worse). Moreover, she apologized a few times for her frustration and choice of words.
