This new line looks fantastic. Loving the colors and they really got that toon look down. Keep ‘em coming Mattel. Great review. Now I’ll just wait till my local stores carry them.
He-Man, check, Skeletor, check, Teela, Man-At-Arms, Beast-Man, Evil-Lyn check, now all I need is a Mer-Man, Trap-Jaw and Tri-Klops and I'll be happy. This line has so much potential, and they're taking props directly from the show, imagine if they did characters who only appeared on the show! Also imagine if they did Bravestarr, Thirty Thirty, Tex Hex and the Filmation (not real) Ghostbusters!
This is what I've been waiting for and it looks great. I didn't get into Origins but I'll happily buy these all day. Now I wish they had Thundercats too in this style.
At first I wasn't sure about this figure, but once you did the side by side yes, this is the Beast Man I would display. Nice job on Mattel bringing these to market, hope the line sells well enough to do all the characters from the show.
It doesn’t look like height difference isn’t very drastic at all, maybe 1/4 inch? I wasn’t able to ever get the original so he would work! I’m curious on the swapping of pieces with the new bucks and old? Thx for the review!
Can you guys clarify your earlier posts about Wave 15 vs 16? You had listed Wave 15 as He-Man, Beast Man, She-Ra (Fan Favorite), Mer-Man (Fan Favorite) and Wave 16 as Skeletor, Man-At-Arms, Tri-Klops (Fan Favorite) and TBD for Wave 16. But the cross cell here showcases He-Man, Beast Man, Skeletor, and Man-At-Arms all at once. Wouldn't those 4 be Wave 15, and the fan favorites just re-releases (like Mattel has done before)?
Those are the case assortments. Yes, technically Wave 15 is the four Filmation figures (as shown on the cardback), but the She-Ra and Mer-Man reissues are part of this wave of releases too.
The question now is, do i need another shelf for the filmation figures? and then do i put the current origins Mike Young 200x inspired ones on their own shelf as well? Remember the years and years we'd go without any motu, and now we're drowning in it? Is this what it feels like to be a TMNT collector?
These are going to be fantastic!!! Definitely need a filmation Attak-Trak… I hope everyone’s voted🤞🤞 Really pleased you got to review this first!!… you guys are awesome at TH👍👍
Wow, he looks amazing in hand. Thank you for sharing now I'm really hyped for this filmation line specially since Super7 never got the chance to go deep with the characters. Side note i did a drawing of beastman using ibis paint on my android phone would you mind if I could share it and see what you think. If so how could I send it too you to have a look.
I’m getting white play doh & making quarter-sized tortillas so it can look like Beasty boy works at La Palma restaurant assembling fresh tortillas with his machine
I don't know if it's the lighting, I know you talked about it in the livestream, I love that vibrant orange. Is it darker in person? It looks like he jumped right out of the animation
Just when I thought, "Ok, I have enough MOTU figs", Mattel goes ahead and pulls me back in! 😅 -- Definitely the best Beastman in a while. -- Outstanding closeup review!
Do we have a release date for them yet and will they be for creations and paulmart store or will other places like bbts get stock? would love to know thanks
Michael, what about the articulation on these? Is he a little taller than the Origins vintage Beast Man? Do the knees bend differently, based on the design???
This release could have/should have been vintage Two-Bad or Sy-Klone or Rio-Blast or Extendar or Dragstor. They should have finished the original line in 2024 & then introduced these Filmation figures for 2025.
I think they intend to complete the vintage collection and release them on Mattel Creations. With the exception of Wundar I've had no problem getting any MC figure that I wanted, so best of luck to those of us clamoring for more vintage characters.
No, they couldn't. These type of decisions are not up to Mattel alone. Retailers only want familiar characters like He-Man and Beast Man to put on their shelves. If Mattel tried to sell only obscure figures in 2024, most retailers wouldn't order them, and MOTU would likely be dead by 2025. They have already dropped the MOTU lines in UK stores due to the lack of interest in the Snake Men. Hopefully, the Filmation figures will entice them to bring MOTU back.
Awesome review. Love the review station. Cartoon Beast Man deserved a hunchback imo though. Attention to detail Mattel. It goes a long way. I hope Mattel fixes Teela's face before roll out. Can't have her looking more evil than Evil Lyn for reals.
I think this could be my favourite Beast Man yet, beating out the Commemorative figure. Paint apps are a concern tho. And the accessories look a bit cheap.
If you want these figures that's great for you, they do look great but honestly my collection is reaching critical mass and doesn't need another He-man, Beast man, Skeletor, etc. The only thing that can hook me into this subline is if they give us some deep cut characters we don't get to see often. Give us Plundar, Vultak, Octavia, Shakote, Marzo...
He seems a bit too bright orange for my taste...however I will be picking him and the others up WHEN/IF they finish the motu origins line. I'm just not going to go all in until I know they can actually follow through on a line. If they can do sunman and all the wacky repaints but won't give us Rio Blast, Sy-Klone, Stonedar, Rokkon, Extendar, Shadow Weaver, Marlena, Multibot, Dragstor, Catra, Two-bad & Blast attack and the fright zone, then I'm out. Not collecting a new he-man series until I have these in origins format. It has been too nerve wrecking and frustrating to see "waves" that carry just 1 figure from the original line.We could have been done by wave 11. 10 if they did an exclusive snakemen 6 pack. Now we're into wave 15 and 16 and not a single one of these have a new original toyline figure, just versions of them. So no. No comitting until they deliver.
I don't know if you knew this or not this, but Josh Graham of Mattel did clarify that they are committed to complete the vintage line for origins. We just got to be more patient. Take care 🙂
Good luck with that. It's going to take them years to finish the vintage characters. By the time they are done, you'll be hard pressed to find the Filmation figures for a reasonable price.
and when I see all the mistakes again or paint that is damaged on the belt and armor head, they just don't work properly and that's a reason for me to end it. I don't feel like doing it myself anymore. I'm just tired of them, they just don't make good quality and it's too stressful for my heart and my health, so I say I won't buy anything anymore
Filmation Beast Man has to be cartoon accurate. The furry body was simplified for animation. That's just how he looked, and many fans have always wanted He-Man toys that looked like the cartoon.

His face is the best part, I didn't care for the Super 7 version. Great review sir.
Very cool to see. Also like how they have changed the color of his whip handle from the vintage version to match his armor better.

He looks absolutely AMAZING, I pre-ordered 2, can't wait to display him next to my Club Grayskull Beast Man

They knocked it out of the park with that head sculpt.

Great review😊
You got it allready!
Awesome colored figure and cardback!👍
I like the matt!

These Cartoon figures are sweet. Hope they make Hordak with Imp. Gonna keep mine carded since all my regular origins are open.

I'm liking him a lot better after seeing this.
I don't know if it's the lighting, I know you talked about it in the livestream, I love that vibrant orange. Is it darker in person? It looks like he jumped right out of the animation
I definitely want this guy. I'll buy 2

Ooohhh looking nice hopefully I will find one since I missed when he came out
Nice! Thanks for the inside scoop!
Good looking figure.
I look forward to seeing him in person.
Can't wait. This guy is great
Fantastic Review thank You ⭐️🔥
Can anyone tell me where I can pre-order these? I don't see them on the usual sites.
When in doubt, check the website: toyhabits.com/motu-origins-cartoon-collection-wave-1-confirmed-and-preorder/
Do we have a release date for them yet and will they be for creations and paulmart store or will other places like bbts get stock? would love to know thanks
Dig him quite a bit, sadly a new line I will get into
Michael, what about the articulation on these? Is he a little taller than the Origins vintage Beast Man? Do the knees bend differently, based on the design???
He is taller and I think the parts they used have a slightly longer scale and most of the parts are new but the height difference is notable!
@@ToyHabits_com Great, thank you! I was hoping that was the case! :)
Phenomenal
How much will these retail for?
Thought these were gonna be a little taller than origins, but they looks the same height.
This one is awsome! Where did you guys get your in hand from? I've seen 2 preorder sites which is the best to buy him from?
Hey Jay. I'm looking to pre-order these as well. Can you tell me what sites you found them at?
Cartoon beastman looks taller then origins? Is that right Micheal?
I do like the colours.
Beast Man
Do you
Know how to end a song?
it's fantastic
Pretty good figure but give me the Origins/vintage design any day
Ok, and He Man???
Better than the super 7 one

@@Rocket1377 fair point. At least my wallet is safe, for now.

He doesn't have a hunchback in the cartoon, it's just his stance and the armour that gives that impression.
@@Rocket1377His armor and stance? Isnt stance basically part of how hunched or upright someone stands to begin with? Excuses excuses.

I give you a thumbs up for your great video because I really like you but for the figure I give a thumbs down just for Mattel
Beastman HAS to be hairy, not look as if he waxes!
Then it wouldn't look like Beastman from the Filmation cartoon
