Such an awesome way to end the show with Shaun hosting a TED talk but it is a shame we aren't getting The Good Lawyer because that crossover episode was so good.
Freddie highmore (aka) Dr. Shaun Murphy, your speech while on the TED platform was in my opinion was “outstanding!” That’s truly my point of view! It really did trigger me to 😭due to precisely how Shaun explained his situation in his Autism Spectrum Disorder & how Dr. Aaron Glassman literally saved Shaun’s career & then really helped Shaun to be accepted by the other Drs. Awesome 👏!
@@LUC66631 I liked Glassman but I think his death added to the story, it lets the audience know how Shaun would be ok even after he died and the dude was old he was gonna die at some point anyway, the whole point of the show was to show Shaun growing, growing to the point he didn’t need his mentor anymore
Another ending possibility would have been the TED Talk audience applauding at the end of his speech…with Shaun looking out at the audience, and seeing an empty row of seats, suddenly filled with some past friends….Dr. Melendez, Glassman with his arm around Shaun’s brother….all applauding him with big happy smiles on their faces! Then, at the very end….Shaun standing at Glassman’s gravestone, and tenderly laying something wrapped in a handkerchief on the top…..the wind blows and rustles the handkerchief open, and there lies the toy scalpel that Glassman gave him as a boy!
I agree with everyone’s comment as I am really going to miss this show. I was hooked from the very first episode and I’m so sad that it has finally come to an end, but it really did have a great finale. I was happy that the show was able to have a finale and not just end abruptly without being renewed. it was a great show with a great cast and great storylines. It will be deeply missed and I also haven’t cried so much from watching a show. I wish all the best for the cast that they find other programs to be on, they were excellent actors.
Love what Shaun said in the finale: "When you touch one life, you don’t just touch one life, you touch every life that that life touches." So very true.
Their will "Never" be a show like this, I found myself thanking God for the opportunity to witness a show like this. I can honestly say I NEVER missed one in all 7 years.
U can always rewatch the show bro just like I will in a later time cuz I started watching the show like a month ago and I just finished the show and I absolutely fell in love with this show
When the screen read "10 Years Later," my initial reaction was "don't end it like this " thinking it was going to be some generic ending. I was so wrong and I'm glad I was. That ending was SO GOOD! It was probably one of the best series finales that I've ever seen!
Very few tv shows worth watching, but this was a cream of the crop, i’ll really miss it. I cried at the ending, which means the actors were good enough for me to convince my brain they were real. A big thank you to everyone that was associated with the show.
Have managed to watch this beautiful series/last episode really. It’s called: “Goodbye” -As the doctors consider their futures, they work together to solve one of the most important cases of their careers. This is word for word. Freddie Highmore = Dr. Shaun Murphy talks about his situation on a platform called TED. He’s standing on the stage discussing very important & special issues esp, re: what he was all about. It’s an incredible description! Well said & done Freddie Highmore! 👏👍♥️ Wow he’s talking about all those who made a wonderful contribution to his career in becoming a “unique” doctor. And unique he certainly is!!!
I agree the final episode was rushed but I'm glad Lea had that talk with Shaun about letting go. My mother died from cancer. She fought breast cancer, a hysterectomy, and the final one was in her spine. By then she didn't want anymore chemo. Even though a part of me wanted her to fight again I also knew I didn't want to see her go through more treatment. That was unbearable to watch. Shaun needed to understand that people r suffering either way and just needed peace and life is just unfair sometimes.😢
Hi brother! I just finished binge-watching Season 7 of The Good Doctor and I’m feeling a mix of emotions. I spent 6 hours straight watching the finale and it was worth it. With a great ending Over the last 4 months, I’ve been on an incredible journey with the characters and it’s hard to say goodbye to them. But, I think the show ended on a high note, which is rare for many web series that tend to lose their quality when extended too long. It’s a great reminder that sometimes less is more. And, I totally agree that language barriers shouldn’t limit our access to amazing content from around the world. We’re lucky to have access to world-class shows like The Good Doctor! I think I am going to revisit in the near future anytime if needed.
Glassmans decision is like that of many brain cancer patients. Having known 3 of them personally, two decided to suspend treatment and just make the most of the time they had left and trust me, you don’t want to see that play out. The third was a Lab chair at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center where I also worked.. he had spent his life researching cancer and when he got his brain cancer diagnosis, he went home, took a few days to get his affairs in order and shot himself in the head because he knew what was coming. Sorry if this episode was too much of a bummer for you.
Enjoyed watching this show so much. Loved seeing Shaun grow as a person. God, I’m going to miss this show. Loved seeing that Shaun ended up becoming chief of surgery.
I don’t think there was an episode that I didn’t shed a tear, but this last one was a doozy, who is a great show poppy one the best I’ve ever seen how I think there’s gonna be another one like it. I love this show but the last season did really leave something to be desired, it felt like Shaun regressed during this season rather then grow. I dont think killing Asher was necessary, it was awful! Also Shaun not saying anything to Claire before she went under, I don't think he would of missed it, I know Glassman was his focus, but Lea can ALWAYS get through when it comes to love and friendship. Still love this show, I'm on the spectrum myself and it really is inspiring to see people like me represented. Also cognitive behavioral therapy has helped, along wjth my very loving and patient husband. We have a son, he is experiencing similar things to me as a child but Im prepared now and hes getting any extra help which isnt much. His sensory issues were nearly unmanageable, especially during lockdown, but hes great now, he 8 and hes excelling now, and a flippin math whiz kid!❤
Happy Endings for everyone. Great way to end the show. Happy for everybody. Charlie became a surgeon. Yay!! Claire and Shaun have beautiful families. Yes!!!
But what of Hannah? Were Shaun’s kids have autism? I’m hoping there’s a longer cut out there as this season seems a bit rush and lazy. Also hated how they did Asher dirty😢
Just heard from Dr. Shaun Murphy say on the TED platform that Glassman did die 😥it’s just a fact that I really am effected emotionally by this last episode. I’ve seen that this was 10 later on. Thus Dr. Murphy & his wife have a growing family now & his son appeared to be getting up there in age & he & his wife have a daughter as well. & I noticed that she was pregnant again. I’m deeply saddened that they closed the curtains on this incredibly beautiful series. Really admire them all in such a touching way! Can’t help crying 😭! They meant it when they said you’d need your Kleenex. There are going to be tears triggered. Even those who have worked with everyone on this series have stated that they’re also going to be tearing up along with everyone else watching. They’re fully aware of the last episode triggering heartfelt emotions cause so many people have really felt deep connections with this series. You bet ya! I’d kinda like to see the whole series repeated again. Please?! 🙏.
It’s unfortunate they got Cancelled there was so much more they could’ve done. But I am also thankful for the years they gave us. So many heart felt moments and amazing lessons from perspectives that would not typically be seen. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

I wish this show would show again so that I could record it. It was a wonderful ending and all actors were excellent but Sean /Freddie exemplifies a fine good person as he is in real life. Highest respect for him
Am I only one that came away from that last episode as the entire show actually being about Glassman as the “ Good Doctor”? Essentially a story of Glassmans last years as a doctor and how his direct contributions and indirect contributions through Shaun and all the teachings he had instilled in him changed for the better every life that entered that hospital. Im sure that’s not the case I got that vibe and thought it was kinda cool.
I’ve absolutely loved watching the good Doctor, Freddie Highmore was amazing playing his part and the characters and episodes were great. I had tears all the way through the last episode so invested in his character and how his life developed and his personality and all the hard lessons he had to learn, really fantastic show gonna miss it so much well done to everyone who had anything to do with the show one of my all-time favourite series , I’m really gonna miss it gonna miss all of you characters.❤️ fantastic acting from Freddie, just brilliant fell in love with your character. Someone I just wanted to do well and be successful and all the characters that became his friends and taught him along the way, I think the show took a lot of us not to be so judgemental and to be more understanding ! just great.
I liked Glassman but I think his death added to the story, it lets the audience know how Shaun would be ok even after he died and the dude was old he was gonna die at some point anyway, the whole point of the show was to show Shaun growing, growing to the point he didn’t need his mentor anymore
they needed two episodes one to finish the current story line and one for the epilogue i hate when shows don’t do a concluding episode for the epilogue
Although we are all saying goodbye to one of our favorite if not the best show ever I can nkw rewatch it all over again and cry over and over with tears of joy of hiw this show touched our hearts in so many ways. Goodbye Good Doctor we will miss u guys, what an amazing cast and ending. I am a father who cried his heart out. Love u all
Ending was great..... but wtf happened to Hannah? Did she get clean and become a chef? Did she relapse and die? Like I was really enjoying that character development.
I think the talk Shaun had with Hannah made her wake up and see herself as valuable and to go and get the recovery and make something of her life. At least that is what I think the writers pushed us to think in that last scene of her and Dr Glassman when she pushed the pill back to him.
Best ending to a series thats sad to see go. Soo I have it recorded & keeping the last episode. Even if I have to keep a box of tissues next to me each time I watch it. Bravo to the writers! Loved how they jumped forward too in showing their lives. That’s how you end a series……Again cheers 🥂 to 7 great seasons, writers, actors/actresses & all the staff behind the scenes.
only 10 episodes though? i didnt realize it was the finale until the "10 years later" flashed across my screen. they couldve stretched it out another 10 episodes to make it a full session, you know?
A disappointing ending??? Personally I think it was outstanding. I've not seen a series ending that satisfied me until this one. Tears and smiles and an excellent TED
Well, I understand what he saying about the negative aspects of the final episode. I actually can’t agree with them because I think it was the perfect final episode for the show considering the only 10 episodes to tell the whole story
My only problem with this ending is that it is very rushed, dr glass man and clair getting cancer, dr glass man losing medical license, and then the finale was all in one episode
Why did they bring Claire to die, instead of being happy with Dr. Jared, since season 1 all the fans wanted them together, she was never happy, what a shame.
Yeah, I thought the same thing because they they cut the seasons so short obviously Freddy wanted to get out it seems he was done doing the good Doctor Pike what a great show and they ruined season seven I mean I started googling the last 10 minutes of episode 10 season seven because I knew it was going to end a I go is there only 10 episodes I was in shock and disappointment. I’ve been watching his shell from the get-go every single show and I’ve seen them twice even and I love the show but I’m sort of mad. No I’m really mad actually because you get into the characters in you know I’ve seen a lot in real life and I’ve been in the situation. I’ve had my whole family die around me my best friend of four years die in my arms, I’ve had so much death that it is a hit hard
Can believe we didn’t see dr clasmans girl he helped from drug addiction in the last episode 🙈 pathetic? If we did see the girl please put me right so I can rewind ❤️
Wasn’t a fan of this season at all. Most of the plot points don’t even matter. There was really no reason to introduce Charlie and the whole possible autism thing was also another plot that went nowhere. And to bring Claire back was also just a way to have dr kulu have a happy ending. I knew glassman would die at least he didn’t die on screen. Also how old was Shawn on the show? I’m guessing if he was bout my age it put him at 48 years in the flash forward.

Financial Strains and Industry Strikes.
I agree that it should have been more episodes leading to Glassman death.
Like a family. Hoping for follow-up movies.
Well, I understand what he saying about the negative aspects of the final episode. I actually can’t agree with them because I think it was the perfect final episode for the show considering the only 10 episodes to tell the whole story
One of the best shows in recent years!
Awesome ending. I will miss this show.
Was this an explanation of the finale or a critique ?
why did they take good doctor off it was a excent show i wish they will put it back on i love that show
When they was walking at the end, was that Glassy behind them coming down the stairs? 5:40
Once again a decent show does not care and writes crap, because no more paychecks. Way to go out classy!
Why Hill Harper ( Doctor Andrew) wasn't in season 7……?
This was a really great series ending. I truly enjoyed it.
The best ending I have ever seen
My only problem with this ending is that it is very rushed, dr glass man and clair getting cancer, dr glass man losing medical license, and then the finale was all in one episode
This is tne best show ever
Why did they bring Claire to die, instead of being happy with Dr. Jared, since season 1 all the fans wanted them together, she was never happy, what a shame.
you must’ve not of watched the season finale
@@indiawright3305 I finally saw her sad for the doctor and Claire with a half of her arm.
Excellent closure
So they did an entire plot line about an addict girl who is saved by glassmann. But she isn't included in the finale? Whats the point?
What a beautiful ending. 😢
Super Film 👍👋👋👋👋👋🥉Shon brawo! 💞
no way its literally a House reference, especially with the unapproved by FDA scene 😂😂😂😂
Can believe we didn’t see dr clasmans girl he helped from drug addiction in the last episode 🙈 pathetic? If we did see the girl please put me right so I can rewind ❤️
Started to watch from june and ended tonight 😭.
Haven't gotten to watch it yet. But, I did not care for any of the 'supporting' characters or story lines, throughout.
I’m thinking glassman says 2 decades helping shaun he was around 14. This is ten years later my guess 44.
Shaun was 31 in season 7. He says that in one of the episodes, probably 7x04. He was 25 when he started his residency at St. Bons.
@@danielavingiani so ur telling me when I hit 41 in 3 years I’ll have gray hair… don’t believe it
I was hoping to see the ghost of the fallen like Melendez Glassy & Asher
Finally😊 poor guy talking strange soo many years😂
I would have no medical intervention if I had cancer not until it got painful then I’d be quite happy to have morphine on board 😊
My favourite character is Dr Glassman
Great ending to a terrific show
Good ending, but where was Dr. Han?!
