I use Adobe Animate CC to animate and Aseprite to do pixel/sprite art and edits. I sometimes do some extra bits in After Effects/Sony Vegas. Any 3D is done in Blender.

After seeing these videos, I realised that Quote has a strategy for every opponent he fights: Deception.
First he distracts his opponents with clones of other characters (which for all intensive purposes will be called distraction clones), then he makes multiple clones of himself while they're distracted, and finally rig one of his doppelgangers with explosives to finish them off.
Seeing his win/loss ratio, this strategy usually works. However, if his opponent defeats the distraction clones too quickly or sees past the fake Quotes, there's nothing much Quote can do.
The distraction clones don't put too much of a fight unless Quote specifically aids them (Ex: Giving Mario a fire flower and football in his fight against Twist.) However, that strategy has a flaw too, since he seems to be unable to make other clones.
The reason Quote killed so many people in Never Touch Quote's chicken was because that he was being dead serious, while other battles he doesn't take seriously.
I just wrote an essay explaining the tactics of a blue, KFC-loving, orange hatted Kirby.
And I Salute you for that, man you sure know a lot of strengths and weaknesses about Quote
And it was a very honorable one. I love when people give their thoughts and experiences on sprite animations we all used to see such as this. It's really wholesome to me. lol
And the fact he tries to piss them off at every step only adds more to the distraction. You got him trying to plant fake Quotes with bombs while making distraction clones and doing a cheeky joke whenever possible just to help with the distraction. Making the person piss off normally clouds their mind, making the fake Quotes work a lot more often
I mean if you think about his master and training partner is he should have at least a Lil deception going

Alright, it's consistant. Every fight that Quote goes into, he's already won THE MOMENT his opponent takes their eyes off of him.
Vs. Twist: Get's Twist focused on X and Zero.
Vs. Jodie: Get's Jodie focused on a series of cloned fighters.
Vs. Sonic: Probably right before he lost the brush, but he didn't quite win either.
Vs. Aege: Flashbang.
It seems Sensei won against him because he never gave Quote the chance to bounce. Quote thrives on his ability to confuse and fool his oppenents, even if they are stronger than him, by all accounts. In smash brothers he'd be a "tricky" type.
I really like that. Quote is a fighter that shows how sometimes power isn't enough to outdo wit and creativity.

It's a fair point. Bob-ombs just make an easy choice for the trap: high power, low intelligence, so Quote can make many without the copies losing their effectiveness. The entire game boils down to setting up that perfect moment where Quote blows his opponent sky-high. The key to overcoming that would be keeping Quote too busy to set up his traps- not an easy feet considering his style revolves around it. He goes out of his way to keep _his opponent_ too busy to keep track of him. And trying to watch for Bob-ombs is kind of moot. _Anything_ can become a Bob-omb at _any_ moment, just as long as Quote isn't preoccupied.
Focus is the key, and Quote makes it really hard to keep focused.

Yeah that's true, Quote seems to specialize in deception. the moment you can't see him is the same moment you chances of success start to fall. you need to keep him in sight and away from his paintbrush. Without that brush he's a totally normal memer. Aege is my favorite kirby fan character, with quote as a close 2nd. So I was kinda batting for both teams here, so to speak.

Aege held his own pretty well. If he used his powers more effectively here, Quote has no chance unless he gets him to drop his guard to prep up for his shenanigans.
Sonic is an adaptive fighter, and his quick-feet and quick-wit makes it hard to pin Sonic down.
Sensei was a literal direct counter to Quote's fighting tactic.
And the J.O.M. is just... A jar of expired mayonaise... with the essence of Star Fox.

Bullshit Theory:
Quote is actually hunting down every single character that's apart of the kirby species. He purposely looses every non-kirby battle and acts like an idiot so no one will see him as a threat, and they won't suspect Quotes true motive to wipe out the Kirby species. Kirby is the only survivor of Quote, because he absorbed quotes paint brush, which is why Kirby can copy abilities. Just like how the paint brush can copy characters and their fighting styles, but not their personality.
So he’s pretty much the Kirby equivalent of merlow

Deception is a valid tactic in any fight. Run out? Bro he only used 2 Flashbangs. Also Quote has a brush that can create anything from anything. It's all in the imagination of the user so in reality there is no limit to the how many Flashbangs he can have.
Also, people aren't invincible bombs can still have an effect unless someone is built enough that it doesn't affect them but that's not for us to need to know.

@@HeruWilliams Quote is a memer and a troll. Of course it's disrespectful. Consistent with his personality. Also, it's kind of assumed throughout all these fights that every kirby OC you see has a base skillset of close range fighting and speed feats. (They are based off Kirby's own sprite sheets that Kirby himself uses in the games). Aege is just faster in a way that most other OCs wouldn't be able to handle unless they had their own abilities and/or smarts to use. Ex. Quote w/ Paintbrush.
Plus anticipation of someone's next move is a thing and Quote isn't stupid.

Templar Animated He's lost multiple times. And honestly is it really so wrong for me to naturally be biased to my own character in my animations? At least I'm not making it one-sided.

Of course you can be biased with your own character, is your animation. I'm just saying one way to keep it interesting and to improve is to make it so he doesn't win as many times.
I'm just saying for me when I sat down and watched this video, I was 100% sure in my mind that Quote would win when I saw this on your channel, from the very beginning. I knew it would be sick anyway, because you were animating it, it just wasn't as good as it could of been because I knew the result.
I'm just saying ways I believe to improve, its not an attack on you as an animator or anything mate.
