Rod Strickland is definitely one of NYC's greats for sure. I was just asking Skip about the guys he played against in high school and who was the best during that time. You can hear the entire interview here: open.spotify.com/episode/7vZ3KqbnwChOoINknK2N7U?si=Pr2a6zdpTZqOzmXO_T5nmw&
Pearl definitely has an argument for sure. I was just asking Skip about the PGs he competed against in HS. Here's the entire convo: open.spotify.com/episode/7vZ3KqbnwChOoINknK2N7U?si=UkLI4XoEQjO8bi3xdyeQYA
What’s sad is how talented the guys who don’t make it all the way/sustain a long NBA CAREER are… NBA players are just a second faster, an inch longer in wingspan, and I’ve a better baseline before the weight room… usually Even Marbury’s release point in his jumpers is just a level above the best guards out of NY
Steph the guard GOAT of NY
Tough to argue that. He's definitely in the conversation.
@@lyonsdensports Kenny Anderson.
💯
Kareem Reid was that dude.
Yes sir!!!
TINY ARCHIBALD!!
Kenny Anderson is the best pg put of NYC
Would not argue that at all 👍🏾💯
Steph as well
Marbury was on another level.
Tiny Archibald
Dwayne "Pearl" Washington
And missing my boy bevon robin claxton
no body mentions Ed "Booger" Smith
Booger Smith was NICE!!! I had just asked Skip about the guys he played against in high school.
@@lyonsdensports Its crazy they used to have highlight of Booger on youtube and for some reason they took them down

Yeah getting to the NBA is hard enough. Having a long career is damn near impossible. Becomes about more than talent at that point.
ED Cota!
are you serious? Marbury wins... it aint even close
Jamaal Tinsley is the best
