Stacy Rob, good dude!
My manz 💯💪🏽🙏🏽
🔥🔥🔥🔥
🔥🏀👑
ED Cota!
About 3 years ago down Watts I saw Stacy trying to get a game of horse but I guess he was shooting so good nobody took him up on the offer
Their main draft Ja'kobe Walter, did not even play and he was their best rookie in the Summer League. He sat out with Scottie Barnes and Quickley but all 3 will play next game.
Booger Smith
Stacey was good at baseball .I played with him on Earl Davis's CYO baseball team with him and his little brother Steve. Many a day all the courts at Fort Stanton would be full and the sounds of the basketball along with the trash talk was keeping the kids competitive rivals and not the violence minded youths that make headlines across the local area. I agree with you Stacey that the recreation leagues were and should be a major part of changing the path that our inner city youth have been on pursuing the symbols of success. It is good to have your story told from one who experienced the big picture of life in DC because what is being broadcast through major networks across the country. ❤SE and The BIG Chair landmark and Frederick Douglass Cedar Hill national landmark. Keeping it real is telling the TRUTH with no shame cause life isn't a game ...it's a blessing.
Hi Stacy it's been a long time, good seeing you and tell Steve I said hello stay Bless ❤🤗🙏Sandra Kingsbury Barnes
Stacy RoB i see you champ looking good my mans seat pleasant 4 life CHIP SUMNER RESPECT..
Man, Stacy was fast... had a deadly jumper too! He and the Herron brothers from Mackin were my favorites.
Big Ups to Big Stacy
My hommie Stacy Rob, My Dude, man we used to have a good time back in the day. 😄
Stacy Robinson stories are LEGENDARY 💯
@@dionwalkersr2113 man legendary for sure!!!!!
I remember Stacy playing in the East / West all star game right before the McDonald's game. I was wondering how he ended up on that team LOL! I swear he went to about four different high schools!
Joe Thweat, Barry the bomb Frazier, Welton Parham,
Brotha could ball
Not sticky but tricky 🏀
The Legend! Family, good guy!
❤❤❤❤🎉🎉
Looking forward to these all summer.
Love the colors!
Thanks 😊
Not bad dawg
Appreciate it 🙏🏾💯
Cool dude met him last week still helping these kids out here 🦾
Stacy definitely cool as a fan 😂
A wonderful and excellent player with great personality. Graceful and beautiful.
Facts. Akilah is dope!!!!
What do you mean?
Seat Pleasant Legend! I saw Steve his brother, play. Didn't see Stacy play, but I heard of him
Stacy was naming the DC greats, some I've played with, including him. He's right about playing pickup. That's where the best ball was played - Candy Cane, Hillandale, Anacostia Park - that's where you earned your stripes.
Yes sir!!! Gotta get back to that. Going to the park and figuring it out. Just ain't the same anymore.
Don't forget..Turkey Thicket !!!
Great interview
Thank you. Appreciate you watching 🙏🏾
@lyonsdensports Man, Stacy been around a long time. I know him from his Ft. Washington days where as he was involved coaching his son at Allentown. I always knew he was a straight baller from older family members. This interview shed great light on his past as well did an older Washington Post magazine article with an picture of him.
@@tanjunenow yes sir. Stacy rep def carried through the years. I wish I could have seen him play. He really should be looked at in the same light as Pee Wee Kirkland, Hook Mitchell and all those other guys like that. Legends who didn't play in the league.
The year: 1985. The Place: Rockville, Event: CBA [CONTINENTAL BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION TRYOUTS] STACEY "SUPERGLUED" my feet to the 🏀 court in one grandstands-emptying fake-shake that had EVERYONE in the gym falling over themselves in hilarious 😂 laughter. Norm Van Lier (Chicago Bulls), CBA Tryout Director gave me an easy out from further humiliating 🏀 embarrassment [ two day refund of the three day session]. Dude had me superglued to the 🏀 court looking at NOTHING as he shot a picture 📸 perfect jumpshot 8 feet from me 😢.
Stacy Robinson it's good seeing you, Thomas G Pullen and PepperMill rec days
✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾 Met the Brother at a G’Town game once..real cool Brother. Great Storyteller 👍🏾👍🏾
Big stace will shake your hand and say Hey baby if u know u know
That's DEFINITELY how Stacy greet you every single time 🤣
My main man stace this one amazing guy y’all
Shout out to big dog, his son was nice too
“Rob” one of the all time greats on the court & and a positive force in the community off the court ✊🏾
We desperately need a big as you can see when gaff goes out we have no rim protection
Good show!
I like me some Ryan Rollins he’s a keeper
I wanted to hear you guys but the audio was so full of static that I could not proceed with the video. If you could work on that going forward, that would be great.
Best Kept Secret aka Big Game Reid
Stacy is a fantastic guy. Great stories, great friend.
AWESOME guy. Thanks for watching 👍🏾💯
'promosm' 👊
George Mason University's F Jaylin Haynes (32) and Livingstone College's PG Bryson Kittrell (55) had great games vs A. Wash & Associates. Great all around game from Jaylin who led P.A.P.A. with 16 pts/7 Rebs and Bryson with 10 pts and game leading 6 assts.
no body mentions Ed "Booger" Smith
Booger Smith was NICE!!! I had just asked Skip about the guys he played against in high school.
@@lyonsdensports Its crazy they used to have highlight of Booger on youtube and for some reason they took them down
In 1985, Stacy Robinson was at a Continental Basketball Association tryout camp in Rockville MD, my mindset/tryout camp Goal was to completely shutdown this guy {Stacy Robinson} who everyone was clamoring over and 📣 shouting up as unstoppable. Well, one second, I had him in my crosshairs guarding him, 'setting him up' to thoroughly Embarrass him by either stealing the 🏀 or blocking his shot, took my 👁️👁️ off of him for no more than a split second, when I looked 👀 back he was GONE, out of the corner of my 👁️, I saw 👀 Stacy Robinson rising up for an uncontested jumpshot three feet from me while MY feet 🦶🦶 were Super-Glued to the 🏀 court with my hands up guarding Nobody!! The whole gym erupted into uncontrollable falling down laughter 😂😆😂😂, I have never been so thoroughly EMBARRASSED 😳 on a 🏀 court than that day. God bless 🙏 him, NBA Great Hall of Famer Norm "Storming Norm" Van Lier, who was running the camp came over and instructed me, "Young man, you have to watch the bellybutton of a player as quick as Stacy Robinson or you will be guarding air ☁️ for the rest of this camp." Stacy Robinson was an Olympic-Caliber Sprinter who happened to be an above-average 🏀 player.
One of the greatest to ever lace ‘‘em up! A great talent and great friend.
In my opinion Dwayne “pearl”Washington is the best guard out of NYC
Pearl definitely has an argument for sure. I was just asking Skip about the PGs he competed against in HS. Here's the entire convo: open.spotify.com/episode/7vZ3KqbnwChOoINknK2N7U?si=UkLI4XoEQjO8bi3xdyeQYA
Stacy is a great man and excellent example to the young athletes today. He’s helped my son in ways that I couldn’t by sharing his story. Big ups to Stacy Robinson. Great interview!!
Def a great dude and selfless with his knowledge. Thanks for watching!
Very good breakdown from both points of view
What about Rod Strickland ?..
Rod Strickland is definitely one of NYC's greats for sure. I was just asking Skip about the guys he played against in high school and who was the best during that time. You can hear the entire interview here: open.spotify.com/episode/7vZ3KqbnwChOoINknK2N7U?si=Pr2a6zdpTZqOzmXO_T5nmw&
