I remember that the short cable goes to RA and the long cable goes to DEC by noting that RA is 2 letters and DEC is 3 letters and 3 is greater than 2.

I have thin zip ties on both ends of each cable. I use one zip tie on the the RA and a pair of different color zip ties on the DEC.

Hello, I bought a G11GT here in Germany. When trying to adjust the pole height, I found that I can only get up to 40 degrees. But I have to be able to set 51 degrees here. Can you write me where the problem is? Thank you

Hello Andre, The G11T RA Axis has 3 different settings when it comes to the Altitude. You will need to take the 3 screws that are inset on both sides of the mount around the Altitude locking bolt. Once all six are removed you will be able to tilt the mount both upwards and downwards towards the next set of 3 screws which will allow you to go above 40 degrees and into the next settings for higher altitude areas. I hope that helps.

@@TKNoHo1254 OK thanks. I thought of something like that and successfully implemented it. :) Very nice that you could explain that to me. If I have any questions, I'll get in touch.

Why use the color tape. Why don't you engrave four white lines, one on each cable and the other two lines on the computer? So they line up.

Hi Paul - there is variation in manufacturing, including earlier models of the mounts, and they are used by different mounts, so a one-size-fits-all approach from us would not work. It's really a personal recommendation from Brian. As mentioned, the cables are keyed so you can't really plug them in incorrectly. it's just a convenience. Thanks for the comment!
