I have rewatched this NF and the quality was actually great, Luxembourg should be proud! And love Laura’s song won as well. It’s interesting that this song is inspired by their 1965 winning entry but with women empowerment spirits ❤
Luxembourg should be really proud of her; she was the right choice. This song will have lots of Eurovision fans in Basel. Needs improvement on staging. Yes, but she did well here.
Well said, shane. i feel like people have been really toxic this year regarding songs they dont like! They're just forgetting it's all about love music and vibes! Glad you called that out ❤
People hated this national final?! I thought it was highly entertaining and had three songs i really liked. (Same three you featured haha) I think that’s pretty good out of 7. Agree there needs to be a much more adult staging but the song is so infectious in a good way and glad it’s added to Eurovision 2025! I think the overall level of national finals this year is not as strong as last year but as long as one good song gets through, that’s all that matters in the end. (As long as the songs I like get through that is… haha) Ps I woke up at 5:30, caught the last three songs and the results. I tried my best)
Well i think your comments are spot on Shane. I homed into this song straight away and said it was kind of a blast from the ESCs of my past. Delighted to see the black/white footage of a more civilised contest. I was somewhat surprised to get some comments from other "fans" questioning my masculinity and asking if i had taken the time to listen to the lyrics!!!! I like the melody....its cheerful ,fun and upbeat....so i love this entery. All i can say is ....she has won the national final( hip hip hooray) so i presume i am not the only MAN to enjoy this bop??? I am so glad dear Luxembourg returned to the ESC as a fan of old i always looked forward to their enteries (1972 in Edinburgh....still one of my all time favourites) Always love your positve feedback Shane and excited about Laura's performance in Switzerland.
For me, 100% the right choice. The lyrics are very powerful and fit great with the staging idea, which needs polishing but I have no doubt they will elevate it. Vocally she's amazing too, so no doubt this will give a great moment in Basel ❤. About what you say more, that is exactly the reason why I only follow you and Georgi as reviewers 😉❤🤗
Conchita was a guest presenter and was brilliant, great comic timing. 0.5% won the televote which was a surprise, must have a big local following. In terms of production, it was a brilliant NF and flew by. Great winner.
I completely agree that Laura was the right decision for Luxembourg and that the staging needs a rethink. Luxembourg already has had a great start with an amazingly produced National Final but they just need more time to get their feet under the table and find their identity at Eurovision. Some countries are still struggling with that.
Well said, Shane! Less trash talk and more respect by creators and the public at large for the artists 👏👏… after watching all the performances I think Laura was the deserving winner. 🎉 Although Luzac was my favorite prior to the final and I’ll continue listening to Je Dance. Candid Shane 🏆
So happy this won, this song has been in my head all week. It's like the better version of Le Manou's song in Belgium 😊 the staging has potential and fits the song, they can build on this idea
The production of this NF is just insane! Regarding the songs, I was on Luzac train, with Laura 2nd, but the live show I think Laura was the best choice! :)
@ I agree with what you said about people criticising Luxembourg , I’m in a discord server with a bunch of esc fans and dear god the shit that was being said about how bad this national final was is insane , I don’t understand it
Some other entries were just a bit underperforming. Before the show my favorites were Laura, Rafa Ela and Luzac and after the show Laura was the best and then RS.
It's a good song but it wasn't my favourite. Not surprised it won at all and it's probably Luxembourgs best chance at doing well. I'm glad Zero Point Five came 2nd and won the televote, I love that song.
Hi Shane! Oh no Rafa ela her voice gutted ❤ or Luzac amazing 😩. No hate here though good luck to the winner Agreed what you said about rethinking her staging. ☮️❤️
@ShanesEurovisionReview Either of those for me could have won. I can see why Laura won. Honestly not hating she probably would be 3rd for Rafa Ela 1st she was so good vocally ☮️❤️
In all honesty, I haven't been following National Finals for long. 1st ESC was 2022 Rotterdam, and actively followed my 1st National Final in 2022. However, I went back and did my homework... For only being in its infancy in the national selections scene, I think a lot more is done right in Luxembourg Song Contest than is done in other national selections that have been around far, FAR longer. They didn't let the artists sound like they were on just a mic&. The production quality gave voters a true look of what the artist could bring for a Eurovision performance. It is a Top Tier national selection now IMO!! Does LSC still have issues? Of course...but keep these 2 hosts...they are very good! Please, for the love of songdom, don't invite Conchita Wurst back next year to guest host. She tried to take over the show, and she didn't help the focus or add anything that was beyond self-promotion. And Laura was the best choice. ...although I personally agree with the public vote about Zero Point Five. I like that song a lot...being an American, that is not "country music"...it is bluegrass meets Aviici. It is going on my playlist of "Fav songs that we lost in NF 2025"
This song NEEDS a childish playful staging if it wants to work as a performance, it's its main vibe The criticism was simply because every single song except Laura felt flat, derivative, soulless and artificial... Whaaaat Olly Alexander delivered so well on the final !!
Theme I am not against of Laura's...but the theme could be delivered with maybe more subtleties and a creative flare. Olly...bless Olly....ummmnm I have had to rewatch that performance a few times to make sense of the televote....try and break down my bias walls. I was always nervous about his live vocals after watching his new years show and whilst he did a great job, I do think vocally he was one of the weakest. I still think the song is great and with a more solid vocal it could have done better (this is just my opinion of course). I will still always be proud of Olly and our 2024 entry and package!! I just thunk at Eurovision I wish the UK sent a vocalist that people sit at home and go WOW. We didn't do that in 2023 or 2034 (unfortunately s😞 )
@ShanesEurovisionReview I think Laura needs more color, especially pink. Like, fully dive into the lollipop princess vibe, which will make the dress reveal stand out more and the overall performance more joyful. About Olly... Idk, I respect what you're saying but his performance is really what made me like Dizzy. He wasn't the best vocalist but the song didn't need that and the ending was a vocal moment. I feel like the song was the issue, it was always going to be the mainstream pop song that doesn't stand out (I wish he sent When We Kiss instead... the bop it would've been on stage !).
Hey 👋 My job 😃 I lived here before and loved it but had to leave because of Covid...so wasn't not long after I left I missed it so much, so moved back. Great people, great culture, great food, great history, great weather...what's not to love 😀
Ohhhhh GREAT question: 1) I don't take separate photos for my thumbnails as I hate posing 😒 so I have to use screenshots from the video itself 2) I don't have the ability to react to songs in a way that I am having an out of body experience like most reactors, soooooo I just gotta work with what I got 😃 Hope that clarifies things 😃
Sooo.. I didn't follow this NF so I don't know any of these songs. The winner song is ok. Maybe because I've heard this first time just now I don't see anything special about it. For me it's a nice, sweet song, but it doesn't do anything to me. And just as you said it totally reminds me of jesc. Maybe with more listenings I will like it more, but as for now it's just average, radiofriendly song.
So what do you think? Happy with the winner? How well do you think Laura can do at Eurovision? Let me know in the comments below 👇 ⬇
You have asked who produced the show. Well, that was a Ukrainian team headed by Natalia Lysenkova, Natalia Rovanska and Maria Hryhorashchenko.

Luxembourg should be really proud of her; she was the right choice. This song will have lots of Eurovision fans in Basel. Needs improvement on staging. Yes, but she did well here.
Staging needs to change for sure...but Luxembourg have a good song here (in my opinion)!
I'm soooo happy Laura won!!!! Her vocals are sooo good. With better staging, this is one to watch. Love it 🤩
Well said, shane. i feel like people have been really toxic this year regarding songs they dont like! They're just forgetting it's all about love music and vibes! Glad you called that out ❤

Anddddd....I seriously value your contribution to this channel ❤️
@ShanesEurovisionReview Aaaawww that touched my heart, thank you 🥰
I was hoping for Luzac! His staging was incredible and it was the most modern and polished entry of the lot.
Conchita was a guest presenter and was brilliant, great comic timing. 0.5% won the televote which was a surprise, must have a big local following. In terms of production, it was a brilliant NF and flew by. Great winner.

The Ukrainian team they hired for LSC this year absolutely ate with the production.

Thank you, Vincent ❤️ 💙 😃
Amen ❤
Luzac for me was the best staging of the night, he was also one of my two favourites and I was not disappointed at all, it looked amazing.
Chanson entraînante qui reste dans la tête 😊 bon résultat à Bale c'est sûr... et en français 😊
So happy this won, this song has been in my head all week. It's like the better version of Le Manou's song in Belgium 😊 the staging has potential and fits the song, they can build on this idea

Glad to read some love for Luxembourg from you ❤️ 💕
The Luxembourg national final freakin looks like the real thing already, right? Impressive 😍
Don't forget it's not a doll song it's a girls power song.
I never thought it was a doll song 😃
I was going to say the same, the lyrics are extremely powerful ❤
I would recommend watching all the performances tbh , the staging on all of them was excellent , I especially like mana’s staging
Yeah your right I need to go back tonight and check them all out.
@ I agree with what you said about people criticising Luxembourg , I’m in a discord server with a bunch of esc fans and dear god the shit that was being said about how bad this national final was is insane , I don’t understand it
@MatthewEade-hj6tf it certainly confuser me 😕
Have to say that next year I hope they are not making a 3 hour event of deciding between 7 songs 🤣🤣
Was it three hours?????????
@@ShanesEurovisionReview It started to feel like Vidbir last year 😅 Well, I guess they had a 3 hour time slot, and they decided to use it 😆
Some other entries were just a bit underperforming. Before the show my favorites were Laura, Rafa Ela and Luzac and after the show Laura was the best and then RS.
We are IN SYNC 😃
I think that it was the only good choice for Basel 🇨🇭
Agreed 😃
It's a good song but it wasn't my favourite. Not surprised it won at all and it's probably Luxembourgs best chance at doing well.

Laura was the best hands down and your right...for a national final that is so new...Luxembourg should be proud! They are doing allot of things right!
I genetically cannot say anything bad about Conchita 😞
@@ShanesEurovisionReview fixed...my apologies
