Post spawn can be a confusing time for alot of fisherman . Most guys and gals start moving off shore but stay relatively shallow. The info you've talked about is really quite different from what we've done in the past and that is the key to finding bass that are unmolested ! Thank you for great info and knowledge !

Great tips as always Edwin! Yep .... trim that skirt. I see so many anglers with a full skirt fishing the same area I am. If I am catching many times they are not or at least not as many just because of that longer skirt. I have only been using a jig comfortably for the last 4 to 5 years. Trimming the skirt was a tip from an old timer like me ... I'm 73 ... when he saw me fishing and not catching while he was catching using basically the same bait but with a much shorter and thinner skirt.

You should break down Clarks Hill Lake in Georgia. Bass Master use to come here but quit, it is a difficult lake to fish. Not sure if that is because its a herring lake.

Does the Shad spawn differ on a river versus on a lake? Will these techniques work for the river?
