    Gidday ol mate, only ever chained down from the rope rails and there’s usually two tie down points up the front on the underside, but as long as it’s still on the back when you get where you’re going it’s all good. Cheers mate

    Driving a Volvo and now auto. Oh the shame. Ha ha.
    Chaining on a trailer... As you've got spider rims you aren't supposed to chain tightly around the rims as the cans can be damaged but that's not always the case. 10 stud are fine. Normally we'd put 1 chain around all 3 wheels. For the front legs. I just use a strap in place of your chain. It's really not much weight up the front.
    Oh but you should always put down the gates. Especially when you've got a headboard up as it really catches the wind. Otherwise you got it. It's hard doing something for the first time and not knowing how it's done.

    Howdy buddy, my military service always had us chaining down at 30 degrees for maximum restraint, enough chain or strap for 2g(so twice the weight of the item for forward restraint and 1g reatward. Also Put the chains around the legs also as the tie down rails have no strength pulling down(only held by the welds). Best of luck.

    How do you find the Volvo compared to the Kenworth? When I was driving many years ago I went from an old R600 Mack to a brand new F12 Volvo. There was no comparison. The Volvo was quiet and smooth, however it took a while to get used to the body roll. I talking back in the early 80's

    • @AverageAussieTrucker
      @AverageAussieTrucker  24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Compared to the k200 the Volvo is miles better in comfort and just all round a better drive but yes I was the same at first I had to get used to the body roll agian but I'm still not really a fan of the auto

    Ha ha don’t worry about it mate those bull bars are only an inch off the ground and bottom out everywhere. And no one’s showing tying down a load like that so if they criticise maybe they should post a video on how to do it
