The clearest and most thorough video on this job. Nice one Mitch, thanks.
Mitch creates the best repair videos I've seen, every minute detail is shown clearly. Magnificent work!!
Thank you so much! 😊🙏🏼
As always, elegant, detailed instructions! I am very grateful to you for your work! I will use it with pleasure.
Great jobs Mitch . I love what you have done whatever ,all over with the bike . I need a neighbour like you or I am going to move there in your neighbourhood :) I really enjoy a lot while I watch your work . Professional , excellent job .
I ride pcx 125 of 2023 .Hope all things are almost similar. Thanks.
Thank you! That would be cool! Need scooter neighbors! :)
No doubt THE BEST scooter maintenance with no nonsense, silent and yet extremely detailed channel I had seen. Great job Mitch. Wish you had a Honda ADV 150 though. BTW do you have any videos to change Fuel Filters?
Keep up the great work
Thank you!!
Ah yes I have been trying to reach a local with adv 150! Hopefully soon haha!
I have a video how to replace fuel filter on Honda ruckus might help ?
@@MitchsScooterStuff Thanks Mitch for replying and the fuel filter video ;)
@@MitchsScooterStuff same in forza 125?
@@minastsellas2108yes
Thank you. I have I have a Honda Forza 300, and this gave me confidence to remove the forks because the paint is chipping away
How are you ?
What caught my attention the most in your videos is that you don't speak!
The subtitles are enough. I also do repairs on my motorcycles.
Fantastic, very professional.
Another very important thing is that the replacements are all original
On the other hand, I see that you are in Hawaii and, in addition to motorcycles, I practice spearfishing and I can't imagine living in Hawaii and working in a workshop repairing motorcycles, but I must admit, it is the ideal combo according to my two favorite preferences.
Congratulations, maybe in another life I will live near a marine area like yours.
Greetings !!!
Hawaii?
I looked at the plants and thought Thailand. Not sure why.
Many thanks mate for posting this! Do you also gonna made a video about valve adjustment check for the PCX? That will be awesome 👍
Enjoyed the video Mitch! So relaxing and soothing to watch your skills and patience! 😃👌🏻
Thanks a lot , everything is very clear and detailled to enable the novice to do the work.
You are welcome
Totally brilliant Mate, get Honda contract to produce all their videos!
😄🙏🏼
Hi Mitch, thanks for the video. 75 mm oil is understandable, but how much is approximately in ml?
Great video, Mitch! I've got the PCX150, what I find concerning is that the fork is only being held by two little pinch bolts, especially when one hits a pothole.
Almost sll scooters are same. The single lower clamp is considerably stronger, heavier than a typical lower clamp on most motorcyces
Great job, as usual. I love the attention to detail.
Thank you! Cheers!
Absolutely fantastic explanation of the process. Thank you very much!
You're very welcome!
Super helpful, as always! Thanks Mitch!
Супер !!!спасибо!!!! ничего сложного в этом нет,буду сам делать
It would be super sweet if you could include a part numers into a written summary of replacement parts. Love your videos.
best video about honda scooter fork, thanks
Sou de São Paulo Brasil, estou acompanhando seus vídeos e pegando várias dicas de manutenção da pcx
Parabéns sou do Brasil e sempre estou vendo seus videos e aprendendo obrigado amigo...
Respect best video to explain how to do this job. I wish to receive more about pcx😊
😄🙌🏼
How do you correctly align the forks when they spin in the clamp? And why do you pull them down instead of push up?
want a tip loose the bottom screw even when it's stuck on the table it's easier a hug from Brazil
I had to use drill press to compress forks & to remove top circlips, which were a bear to get out even with 2 hands. I locked press in the compressed position My caps look very diff from this pcx. Jusr barrly able to compress caps enuff to get space under the clips. 20min total just removing top circlips. Rest was easy.
When should we change the fork oil or remove it?
I don't know how many miles or km?
thanks brother .from Greece
You’re welcome 👏🏼👏🏼
Great job! 💪😎 How many kilometers or years is it necessary to change the oil in the fork? 🤔
Hi I'm from India ILOVE your jobs
But very slowly working
Back round bird sounds very nice your from
Hello.. it PCX 160 has the same fork oil level at 75mm ?
hi. how do I find these parts for pcx 2022? and what level of oil should be poured into the shock absorber? this information is not available on the Internet((( thank you.
Thanks Mitch. I have a 2016 Sym HD 200 (171cc) with 19k miles. Rides awful and I feel all the bumps in the road now at front. At 19k miles I'm due for a fork oil change out, right??
After seeing your video I believe I can do it. Maybe...
Thanks
Dean
Seattle
Def need changing. Some pretty thick, dark stuff came out of my forks after 5500miles in 10 years. You can make them more compliant but reducing oil wt slightly & incteasing oil level slightly to help prevent bottoming.
Спасибо Вам, делал так, как вы делали. Легче, чем читать мануал.
Is it the same presetter as the PCX 2023 model?
hello mate, if i was there i would love to help you. you did a good job 👏 MÂŞÂALLÂH
Very useful, thank you.
I may be doing this on a later model once the weather warms up a little here in Japan.
I assume that it's almost entirely the same parts, and the principal is obviously the same. I have the KF18 (2015/150).
A note on the subtitles: 15:28 "stop tapping until the groove on the inside wall is visible right above the oil seal."
Is that a typo?
Do you mean keep tapping until...?
No big deal, just thought I should ask.
That's two of your videos I have watched in a row to give me a heads-up on up-coming maintenance jobs.
Liked. Subscribed.
EDIT
I like your bike stand. I wonder if I can find a used one of those near me. Everything is so expensive in Japan, even 2nd hand.
Mitch sir, you are a legend. I'm tired of mechanics that scratch your bike and not giving a damn about it. I am struggling however to find a manual that mentions all the torques needed. I own a 2021 pcx 125 and i cannot for the love of God find anything anywhere. Nothing about anything in the owner's manual. I searched for the service manual but it looks like it doesn't exist. So how do i know how tight my things have to be?
Use the German "Goodunttight"
Great video Mitch thank you .
Very welcome
Hey Mitch. How do you feel about heavier fork oil for heavier riders? I'm 250 lbs. Thinking of doing 15w or 20w
Hey, yeah go little heavier than what I used in this video
Thanks you form thailand
You are very welcome! 🤙🏼
My friend. I enjoy watching your videos and I follow you closely. Where can I buy wind deflectors on the Burgman 400 (2007) model engine. Can you give a link? Thanks. 🙂🤗😍 I love your long videos.
Hi. Couldn't you just break the lower Allan bolts loose while the forks are still on the bike?
You could but oil will leak out while backing the bolt out making a mess unless you break & snug. I dont see an advantage but wouldnt hurt
My front suspension bottoms often even if there is no hole on the floor, a tiny bump will make it bottom. I am only 70kg by the way. Do you think the springs are worn out? Or maybe an oil problem?
Yes, probably oil is low or gone. Springs would have to be in horrible shape to be the sole cause
@@barneyrubble4827 it makes sense. I had the oil replaced, was nearly dry when they opened it. They didn't bother replacing the seals. It was way too strong for a month and now it's back as before. I wish there were real mechanics where I live...
Nice work.
too good😍
Thanks 😊
Hey Mitch, I have this clunk or thunk noise when I sit on the scooter and push down the handlebar all the way down while on the front brake. It also happens when it comes to a full stop at a light I hear this thunk sound from front fork.. could something be loose or worn?
Sounds like its bottoming... too little oil, worn out springs. If springs are too short(compressed beyond service limit) I'd just make spacers to increase the preload
Pcx 125 2021 fork oil 5W or 10 W , and how much oil to pour ?
He said 4 oz per fork but no mention of viscosity, its 10w & 4.19oz per Honda
Buen trabajo 👍
Super video, szkoda że w Polsce niema tak dobrych fachowców którym strach oddać skuter do naprawy, byle jakość i wysokie ceny to dewiza polskich pseudo mechaników.
The front are good,it seems the back one's could do with being a little bit stiffer, tbh I am a big person,6.2 and about 94 kg,,, I will look into upgrading..
Yeah get stiffer shocks for rear
These scooter oem shocks are kinda soft to start with
Thank you
How much ml
4.19oz of oil (per Honda) = 124ml
Nice video , only one thing, first instal your front wheel and then the brake caliper. It,s more easy to do
Other than that, very good video 👍
Super pour nous apprendre a entretenir son pcx vue de udon tani Thaïlande

there's a special place in hell to those who put loctite on the bottom bolt. it's a pain in the butt to get it out afterwards.
And I thought rust was bad enough.... That's going to end up a welding job for sure once the Alan nut is stripped.
you can drill the head out if it's stripped!@@DennisdeJong
Loctite blue aint bad but youll need to fashion a damper wrench of some kind or the bolt/damper just spins. Same for drilling it😫
Thank you
