    I feel one 'mistake' you do at times is what many teachers do, is to try and teach the music slowly before playing it normal speed. As a student, it's always easier for me to follow and understand if first you play the part normal speed, then teach it slow, so I can understand what the real sound will be like.

    Earlier today I was watching a cartoon with the nephew in which one of the main characters was attacked by hundreds of tiny baby turtles. Beware the little ones, Ryan.
    Tune in next time for another episode of cartoon turtle warnings :)

      Rasmus Sloth Hoffmann I just purchased a ProCo RAT2. Does that count? What’s a group of rats called? Perhaps it could be the name of Master Splinter’s band.

    I’m getting a guitar (should lol) on Christmas. Haven’t played guitar ever so this is some good insight! One of my favorite songs of all time so this is the first song I want to learn, after I learn all the basic stuff first of course lol

    • @RyanLendt
      @RyanLendt  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yeehaw mister Banana! My advice: forget the basic stuff. just start learning your favorite song, it'll be much more fun for you and you'll learn the basic stuff by accident :)

    Awesome tutorial, I will practice that bridge section you have deciphered. I have noticed that other tutorial/covers of welcome to paradise also play the G A B you mention at the end of the verse but I'm sure Billie plays it just G B. I could be wrong though.

    • @RyanLendt
      @RyanLendt  ปีที่แล้ว

      regardless - if memory serves (it's been a WHILE) - the bass makes a pit stop at A so it's a fine thing to do if one cares to

    • @RyanLendt
      @RyanLendt  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ohhhh nice band name! You could certainly play the bass as simply as the root notes of those power chords. or you could try to actually play the bassline. Warning: it's difficult.

      Yep. Hop on the internet and get yourself a Thalia. they're expensive but totally worth it in looks and function. Plus my buddy works there. Plus it's expensive enough to never lose. which brings me to my theory on socks. If socks cost $50 each we'd never lose them.

      that's my lovely schecter PT with burstbuckers in it, through a virtual marshall amp of some kind, no doubt. I probably wouldn't have used a distortion pedal with that combo on this song.
