My favourite thing about this show is how the magic system isn't very "showy" in a way. Sure we get our occasional flying and firebals but even then, most of the spells don't really have a cgi effect. Like Theo and the rope Sabrina gave him or the invisibility yarn pentagram by Ms Wardwell. It's just so much cooler to see magic portrayed in a way that's more mystical and subdued rather than more extravagant and flashy.

The thing with any wiccan. Pagan based practice Series. Including that of The , Original Charmed- When they are seen putting together ingredients creating potions and vanquishing potions- what these series and producers do not factor In, Is that the ingredients used are not to be handled bare skinned. Especially mandrake root- when creating And working with herbs and ingredients Seen In Charmed , one would easily need proper equipment such as an oxygen mask, rubber hand wear. Protective eye wear, when handling such material.

To answer your question on school showers in the states, yes, most middle and high schools have showers in the physical education locker rooms that would be easy for any student to access.

When it comes to the showers in school, the only time I saw showers at my high school was in the locker rooms used for physical education classes and sports teams. I went to high school in America.

Suggestion: Talk about "The Craft" and "The Craft:Legacy"

Peeling an apple’s skin and putting it in water to see it take the shape of your soul mate’s initial was done in a Charmed episode when they go back in time to the 1600s. This show was probably the first mainstream one using so many accurate witchcraft and Wicca elements despite some exaggerations (obviously, it was a show after all). I still think you would enjoy it 😊

  • @naimac1015
    @naimac1015 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Interesting you should ask that question. I sometimes forget about the differences between countries. Yes, in America we have showers in the gymnasium for use after classes. So you don’t attend your other classes sweaty or grimy.

I believe one of the show producers is a magical practioner- she did a tarot reading to decide characters and their personalities. Sabrina was given the Magician, and as such her clothing is mostly red. Lots of witchy details!

I agree! I often semi argue with my family about the fact that not all witches are either Satanic or devil worshipers so I really appreciated other "witchy" shows and movies that highlight this...and then along came this one. Witch = devil worshiper/Satanist ...not a favorite notion and doesn't help with my family either...so yeah, not my favorite show.

This is great start, a fantastic series. When you get to movies it will be harder.
There is so little spellwork in so-called witch movies. As much as I don't care for The Craft and The Love Witch, they at least give solid depictions of witches
    acting with intention.

I'm old enough to remember the introduction of the original "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" in the "Archie" comics and TV show back in the 1960s... The better-known show starring Melissa Joan Hart was funny and I watched it from time to time, but the new Sabrina -- which I've only been able to watch piecemeal due to giving up my Netflix account to save money -- struck me as being put together by people who *really* knew what they were talking about and who wanted to tweak things just enough to get the show made without wandering too far afield. Of course, the new show is an absolute impossibility on the regular TV channels in the US, but I'm sure glad it's been made available. :-)

Great video! CAoS is a fantastic show and one of my favs. I loved the simple charms and spells they used. It's easy to adapt some of the into one's practice, pop-magic style.
Many schools here in the states have attached gymnasiums with locker rooms. If the PE teacher is nice enough, it would be simple to make up a reason to shower quickly between classes or whenever.

I watched teenage witch when I was younger and loved it so I had mixed givings about chilling tales. I really enjoyed it I'm happy to say.
Charmed does hold a special place in my heart (original one that is) and was really drawn to Piper. I'd be curious to find out how much is real although that's not what i loved it so much. I loved it because of the morals and everyday issues they faced and how they balanced the two sides of their lives.

I love the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. I wish it hadn't ended. I'm so happy that you are covering the witchery of it. I'm not into Satanic witchery, but I know they exist, and this series had me testing my commitment to freedom of religion 😎 I hope you do more episodes. In this episode, seeing Salem being this - thing, gave me a chill. I liked that Sabrina looked for a spirit that wanted to be her familiar out its own free will. I much more enjoyed Salem being this disturbing goblin rather some wisecracking talking cat. I also took Sabrina's courage to heart here. Whenever I hear something going bump in the night, I do the Sabrina, "Who are you? Show yourself!"

Loving this so much. I absolutely adore the chilling adventures of Sabrina. Regarding the dark baptism, I did a ritual from Paul Huson's Mastering Witchcraft book which involved saying the Lords prayer backwards on three successive nights to renounce my Christian faith. I was an evangelical Christian for over 20 years, baptised twice and confirmed once!

You did an amazing job with this, and I look forward to more in the series. I also agree with the research done! I would love you to comment on the later season when they call on Hekate. I was also curious if you watched Witches of Eastend. I think that’s the title! What I appreciate about it was the lack of boundaries in good magick and bad magick. The men and women who are discovering what they are make chooses that are “human” and some caused harm in these choices. It really showed that it’s not magick that’s good or bad, but how it can be used. It walked a grey path.

I watched the whole series recently. It was a good show, and very gorey, but I loved the witchcraft. They were called "Satanic Witches" and I was like, woa! The witchcraft in this show, although of course not real at all and is based on the real witchcraft in the world, was good and made me feel many times like, "hey! I do that too!!" It felt great to be represented. And if I had to choose which characters to ship them, I would choose a 3way relationship with Harvey, Nicholas, and Calibam. :)
Also, I really enjoy Scarlet Witch and Dr. Strange in the Marvel movies. There is a whole tv show on disneyplus on Scarlet Witch and the witch in that show is having her own spinoff series, the witch named Agatha. I even bought a statue of Hecate that looks almost exactly like Scarlet Witch on Mt. Wundagore. :)
Hope you are enjoying yourself, Hearth, keep the video coming! Have a blessed Samhain! Blessed be!

Love this series you've started! I really loved watching that show too. Watching this I do realize it has been a while since I have seen season 1. I need to rewatch to brush back up on it. I remember being sad when the series ended with the last episode, but was at the sametime glad the show was able to end with a proper ending & not leaving us on a cliff hanger. There is a show I really enjoyed on Netflix they have still yet to come out with a season 2 for that is my favorite witchy show. Luna Nera is the name of the show. They used voice overs for us to watch since the show is originally in Italian. It is a really awesome show too. Unfortunately they still have yet to come out with a season 2 for it. The way season 1 ended does feel like a season 2 is very important. I know it of course has fantasy in Luna Nera like the Sabrina show does, but I have a feeling might have some good educational stuff like you pointing out the Sabrina show does. I don't want to give spoilers, but in episode 1 of Luna Nera the main character & her grandmother are midwives.

A movie in general I love (which I haven't got to see again in forever) is "The Mists of Avalon," which I discovered is based off of a book in general. Of course awesome fantasy, but I believe should have educational stuff to take away from it involving Paganism in general I believe. I don't want to give away spoilers, but the way that movie ended was mind blowing. My mom used to own the movie on DVD while in my youth. She too loved how the movie ended at the very end involving the goddess. Really cool concept & I don't want to give away spoilers. However to anyone else that has seen the movie or read the book then you might know what I am talking about. I really need to read the book (I haven't read it yet) & find that movie to own for myself. I am sure the book will have details the movie didn't making it even better.

Not trying to be irritating in the comments, but I really love this idea of breaking what we watch a part & Hearth Witch giving us the accuracy part of what we are watching! I will for sure be following along with this series! I definitely was always on the edge of my seat for the new Sabrina seasons to come out & I would binge watch them pretty hardcore. I remember the holiday episode they came out with in-between seasons that felt like a real treat! I am glad Netflix at least ended the series with a good ending, because there are series I got into on Netflix that never got endings for being cancelled & whatnot. Some really great series in general with fantastic storylines.

We can see the practice of apple divination in Season 3, Episode 4 of Charmed, when the sisters go back in time and Phoebe told to skin an apple and toss it into a vat of water to learn the first initial of her soulmate. What I absolutely love about the show is that the apple skin spells the letter "C", who Phoebe assumes is Cole (her then love-interest). However, as the show goes on, they don't work out, but what I ABSOLUTELY LOVE is that 5 seasons later, Phoebe lands up with a man named Coop. I loved this tiny detail they kept, despite being written in an era where shows weren't planned seasons in advance. In fact, a lot of Phoebe's major love-interests' names start with the letter C

I would really love it if you would do the series Penny Dreadful! It’s a good show, although it can be gory at parts and only some episodes contain witchcraft content, but I would really like your views and info tidbits of it!

In America in both Jr High School and High School the locker rooms for the school gymnasium have showers in them for students to take showers after gym class or after a team sports practice. I honestly don't remember anyone ever using them.
    Love this video. ❤❤

Loved this!! Suggest the film “Practical Magic” which seems very real-world in herbal magick.
