Yeah canonically Kung and all of the other heroes died at the hands of the Deadly Alliance. Then Onaga raised them from the dead and out them under mind control. Which was broken after his death at the hands of Shujinko.
When I was younger I always thought Kung Lao was just as important as Liu Kang because I only played Mortal Kombat Shaolin for awhile and in that game they are the 2 main protagonists. Also I only used to play with Kung Lao coz his moveset was cool
you are not the only one, me and my friend used to play shoalin monks all the time. I also thought he was a "protagonist" character just like Liu Kang. I don't really like how Liu Kang gets all the attention now, just turned Kung Lao into pee pee poo poo.
I actually hated shaolin monk for retconning his character to be jealous of liu kang. After that they always made him out to be the jealous guy, and still continue to make him an obnoxious guy till the current game, where as he was more of what Raiden character is now in the current game.
Cronica should ask reptile to join her because reptile wants to bring back his race I mean they could have done that reptile would not refuse to join Cronica if it means he gets a change to bring back his kind
When MK2 the arcade first came out, Kung Lao was already a legend, so everyone at least wanted to see him in action, let alone want to master him in game play.
18:57 Jax’s arms in 2021 film look like the Terminator’s arms when he’s lost all the flesh and is just left with the titanium skeleton. And those arms on Jax just look so wrong as they’re so thin

When you unlock scorpion and sub zero I would play sub zero cause he was the blue guy like kung lao
