Wow! So happy I came across your channel! We are starting our 12th year of homeschooling (10th year of CC!). I have four kids. My oldest two are in Challenge 1 and A. Then the younger two are in Foundations. I also love Logic of English and I am in B with my youngest and used A-D with my second child a few years ago. We are also reading Story of the World Vol 1 together this year. I am super excited to watch your Cycle 1 video!
I hear you on science. I would love to hear more about that science curriculum!

We are halfway through MWC K. I have never used RS but love the AL abacus so I use that most of the time instead of the 10 frame when teaching MWC!

So lovely to find your channel! We did Science in the Ancient World last year and I can't say enough good things about it! I was never a fan of science and it has totally converted me and made me fall in love with science. I was nervous about how many science experiments there were and was relieved at how low maintenance the experiments were. I will say that it was a hassle to stay on top of having supplies so I did treat myself to the kit for this year for Science in the Age of Scientific Revolution. There are a few perishable items that aren't included in the kits. I hope your family enjoys it!

We are only on lesson 6 of Science I. The Beginning but we loooove it! It’s similar to Apologia but there is so much more variety! I also love that there is an experiment for each lesson. It’s super solid, fun, and very engaging!

We are a CC family too! This is will be our 2nd year and I will have one in essentials this year. I have really enjoyed your videos!
This will be our first year with Automatic Spelling, I have one with dyslexia so hopefully we will see improvement too! I appreciate your honest feedback with it after using it for 2 units.
Also, with Bearean Builders. We JUST started it, like 1 lesson in. And it was really simple and quick. And my kids really enjoyed it and asked when we were going to do science again. Which has not happened before haha. Hopefully it continues that way for us and you enjoy it also.

I'm with you....if $100 makes it easier and I'm more likely to do it, it's worth it to me. We have moved so often that we do not alway have "common houshold items" so the boxes make it easier.

Thanks for sharing! We are using berean builders as well- we started it towards the end of this spring, and have been loving it! I got the kit bc I never have the random parts and pieces - for example, one of the first lessons needed a blank cd 💿 and it was really nice just to have a box to pull from. We also use MWC and typsey :) I have been looking at the automatic speller as well, so am debating pulling that one in.
@@Ahomeontheprairies same here…I have no idea if I even have a blank cd in my house! I’ve decided I’m definitely getting the kit otherwise I’ll never do the experiments 😂

@@gabrieladelopez941 D: 20-30 minutes; E: sometimes the warm up alone took 20 minutes so we often broke the lessons into 2 days. I’d say at least 30 for E.
