    Jayden Daniels from LSU is likely to be one of the first 3 QBs selected in the upcoming NFL Draft. While a lot of the general sports media and other content creators have been singing the praises of Daniels, my scouting report takes a further look at Daniels’ game, and I was underwhelmed watching his game tape to say the least. Will he be a potential BUST in the NFL? Enjoy the video! (Note: Game film sources have been properly cited in the video's description.)

      One thing you didn't mention which I think is also worth noting, he was throwing to 2 elite (1st round) receivers at LSU. They may have helped him look better than he would have looked with average receivers. I agree with your assessment. I hope my Falcons don't take him early.

    I understand to try to get rid of the ball but if the pocket is good and there is nothing open what’s wrong with holding the ball for 5 second till someone gets open or until the pocket crashes.

    • @kngishere395
      @kngishere395 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Longer time in the pocket = more risk of a holding call. Also WRs scrambling to get open backyard football style leads to mistakes. Also longer risk of getting sacked (or worse strip sacked). That's why you see most QBs will roll out rather than just stand in the pocket. Gives receivers more clear areas to try and move to and lowers the risk of a holding or sack. NEVER a good idea to just stand in the pocket for that long looking around

    I agree with you, at the very least, on the subpar ball placement. Which is by far the biggest concern with him. I still think he'll be gone by the end of the third round, and I think the media is higher on him than NFL teams. That being said, teams get desperate and coaches and GMs want to show they're trying to address the most important position on the team. So he may well go first half of the first round, who knows.

    Hey Mister, love the video. I'm not a film guru at all or really even a big college football guy, but, when I brought this up to my friends (the one read) they said almost all college qbs are just one read guys. I watched a few qbs: Jaxson Dart, JJ, Sam Hartman, Trey Lance, and Mac Jones. All of those guys are actively scanning the field more and looking at other options. Is one reading just a college thing or is that bogus? Seems like it would be an awful habit to mold into a qb for the pros. I do agree with that as well, in a lot of the games I watched of him he'd stare down Nabers/Thomas and huck it. If those reads didn't open up he'd recklessly run with the ball.

      Im a raider fan and we could only wish he would fall past even 2nd overall but as everyone does in the media they try so hard to push to make JD5 the best thing ever so to me the NFL is an entertainment business and these teams will take the medias advise instead of doing their own homework the teams will Take him because the name has become big...and have you not notice the woke media always put the black qbs at the top and white qbs fall why is that not being racist or anything but just listen to espn and big sports media they protect all black qbs .. outside of burrow allen and Herbert the NFL never puts white qbs at the top drake maye could be the best qb in this draft and their dropping to.. look what they did to will levis from 1st rd he dropped to 2nd rd and put Anthony Richardson as 4th overall they don't want to give credit to jj mccarthy or bo nixs they talk about penixs moving passing those qbs and being the 4th qb never say nothing bad about Justin fields its everyone else's fault trey lance not blaming him saying he can be elite on another team then the 49ers they didn't give mitch trubisky any time they started destroying him after first season when he had no weapons i know he's not good now but didn't give him time man i heard jamis Winston is elite they were gushing about geno smith killing zach Wilson and this is everyone at espn and it goes on never talk bad about dak prescott or hurts who cant throw the ball and so many more you heard bad talk about brock purdy for a mr irrelevant i mean come on and this all became a big deal because of what rush Limbaugh who use to work at ESPN before woke was a thing and he said about donavon mcnabb that black qbs weren't smart enough to play the qb position they fired him for saying that and now when woke became a big thing they took those comments and ran with their hair on fire pist and started just talking and pushing for the success of most black qbs and yes theirs great black qbs.. it seems like being that the NFL is scripted its like your seeing every black qb is becoming more the talented qb by their narrative..so i would advise the raiders to get JD5 the raiders will get all the love in the world and will become a respected team but its not going to happen with bo nixs or jj mccarthy carr gets hate to by media people calling the saints racists for benching Winston for carr you see how that works even players calling it racist its insane if fields was white they would of got rid of him already...i dont know man but i see that black qbs are succeeding a lot more then white qbs period and getting more love and winning more...not saying their not talented but if you dont have burrow allen or herbert the rest are not considered elite for white qbs it stop their the rest are inconsistent and its probably scripted that way...this goes for black coaches to get all the love dont mind it if it makes our raiders winners they were gushing over him on ESPN because the rooney rule nfl needs more black coaches well have them win.

    3:15 play is a perfect example of what to be scared of when it comes to this guy. He completely missed guys that were GOING to be open. Terrible! I hope the Redskins draft him. He might start out looking like the next great whatever, but as soon as a little controversy pops up, this guy is going to fold like a house of cards. I keep calling QBs like this.. but teams continue to draft them. He is a terrible interview , too.. which is also not a good sign. You want your QBs to be able to communicate properly , and not be so concerned with how people perceive them to be. BUST!

    He’s Lamar 2.0 obviously he’s not as fast at all. But he scrambles and negates the pocket just like him. (Lamar can outrun anyone but that’s not his game nor does he really ever run full speed). He’ll just be a better passer coming out of college.

      He doesn’t need much weight at all. Maybe 10 pounds of muscle but that’s it. He’s one of the only actually fit Qb’s I’ve seen in a while. (Aside from Lamar and Dak).

      Nothing like Lamar as a qb imo, they're both dominant rushers but that's just a bonus for Daniels. He threw for more yards and tds last year than Jackson has the last 3 years combined. 😂 (not really but I presume you can catch my drift)

    I think the qb hysteria about three qbs means the top three picks at least are overvalued. this means a team like Commanders would be better off trading down. They have Howell who I would argue did as well as any of these qbs given his OL and the EB offense.
    You said Daniels shows his advantage when the pocket breaks down. However, a good team does not have the pocket break down.
    The best plan for Commanderst is to trade down and get more picks. Bo Nix would be fine at 1.6 and by progressive tradedowns we could take him there if that is needed, which I don't think is needed anyway since any QB would have done no better than Howell this past season with this OL and the EB offense system.
    By progressive tradedown to 1.6 Commanders could have: 1.6, 2.34, 2.35, 3.69, and 3.70.
    If they think the jump to 3.69 is too great stop and draft at #4 and we still have 2.34 and 2.35.
    Drafting a QB at #2 is a Snyder solution, and only is better than the other Snyder solution of trading up to #1.

      You make an opinion based on multiple games, he picked the Bama game and actually showed wr running wrong routes and te dropping the ball. 84 plays over 20 yards, how many did we see here. You should be ashamed you used such a small sample size. Hope you don't do this for a living.

      @@vanmagnesson bama is the closest thing to a NFL team you’ll face in college football 90% of the time. So if he wanted to use it for his scouting video, why be bothered by it and him pointing out his own personal analysis of how he feels about Daniels. Not everyone gots to agree, I’m not the biggest Daniel fan, he’s an electric runner and throws a great deep ball but I don’t know how I feel about his short to intermediate game and that’s warranted. He isn’t the passer Maye or Williams are, may he prove me wrong though I always wish success to all players.

    • @vanmagnesson
      @vanmagnesson 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@masterful7346 here's the thing... You didn't do the same thing to the other qbs you scouted, you showed a plethora of plays from different games. There was no reason to show wr running the wrong routes and dropping passes. You want pro type NFL teams, i don't see Missouri or Ole Miss film in there. Missouri shut down Ohio State with the great unicorn MHJ. You can say whatever you want, but everyone knows you were bias. He broke the record for passing efficiency in the history of college football, besting Joe Burrow and you have issues with his short game. You can't scout on one game or one at bat. That's the equivalent of doing a scouting report on the bat of Mike Trout and saying his bat is slow and he can't hit the slider because he got blown away by Ohtani in the All Star game. You can't have a credible report on limited data, that's not the way the world works. Next time you make one of these videos, include plays from at least three good teams. That's the only fair thing to do. You know it and I know it. You're going to be surprised when Daniels lights it up and you're also going to find out Malik Nabers will be a better pro than Marvin Harrison Jr.
      We can revisit this post a year from now.
      No ill will here, I'm too old for that, but in the future if you want more followers, do a more thorough job in your analysis. It's only fair to your subscribers. Have a great day.
