I'm a bit late but I have something to say here: Even if what you're saying is a joke, No man's sky only good thing was, in fact, the procedural generation...
Well, I have to say that this is a quite impressive project, well done! I assume that each cell is an instanced static mesh, which makes cell organization a lot easier than those of the conventional PMC-generated terrains. I've been working on a PMC & marching cubes powered voxel project, and got some pretty great outputs. I would like to hear about how you'll improve your project later.
Would you be willing to sell this privately as an example project? I'm curious about the chunk generation. I'd also be willing to pay for direct assistance if you're free.
hi! I am also a game dev and I was wondering how you achieved this. Care to make a tutorial or a full showcase? Feel free to check out my gave dev videos as well!
I must admit, the actual tech and/or programming that goes into this is fairly unimpressive, unless you've done this entirely yourself with no previous experience in this sort of thing - In which case, congrats. However, the aesthetic of the actual world is just... :o
I don't know why, but I absolutely love the way the terrain looks. nice job.
The sound it makes is so satisfying!
wow, that looks awesome... and - I guess due to the soft edges - quite adorable even
Cool! A tutorial would be great, there are no tutorials on procedural stuff like that, so it woul be really unique and I guess popular!
Or the UE-Project would be also nice!
@@MrBorderdown Wow, people must love being around you!
@@MrBorderdown gfys
@@MrBorderdown well, I, on the other hand thank you for the info and links. I actually agree with your sentiment..
@@srgoti8234 Yeah but he's kinda right.
looks great, u should have the terrain change into water when u go down to a certain level, like a water table
already better world generation than no man's sky :>

It's so satisfying ! A tutorial would be great! keep up to good work
Very satisfying, but don't know why?
This would make for a great puzzle mechanic.
Amazing 🤩
is there an executable for this? really would like to journey there :)
I don`t know what kind of game you are doing, but look really pretty.

Thats good, would even buy it if its a game!
oddly satisfying
Bon boulot, mec. Faut voir comment tu vas développer le concept !
Putain truc de malade
This looks amazing, how does it work? Are you able to release any of it for us to learn from or make a plugin please?
This is amazing!
Hey how did you get the look for the terrain
My computer-potat can explode with that
Also why was this reccimended to me
COOOOL!! Which engine version you used? cuz I cound't use this UnrealFastNoise plugin with UE4.18...
A unique concept, but where do you plan on going with it?
TheGuyCompensatingForHisSmallPenis how is it unique?
+Crusty Plunger
The pegboard-style terrain generation using preset meshes.
for some reason I thought by unique he meant the procedural terrain creation
How unique? lmao
WOOOOW
Very nice!
How do I get in touch with you?
Can you share the blueprint document? Working on similar project at school.

trying to mimic this look has so far taken me twice as long as implementing noise did, and it's not even close to looking as good
My computer-potat can explode with that
