A Health To The Company ~ Final Song of the Florida Renaissance Festival 2009

- All the good folk of Playhaven at the 2009 Florida Renaissance Festival sing together in the last song of the final pub sing of the very last day of the Faire. Plus a great quote from the King of the last lines from Shakespeare's "A Mid-Summer Night's Dream". What a wonderful closing to a great Festival season. In my humble opinion everyone singing in chorus all sound great together. Sweet and melancholy with just a touch of mischeviousness (note Ty Billings getting goosed by a tricksy Limeybird).
Apologies for a somewhat too quick and jittery pan of the crowd, but I was trying to include as many people as possible.
Thanks to old friends and new acquaintances. It was a pleasure to see you all and we hope to see you again at other venues and at next year's Festival.
Note: Best viewed in hi def (the HD button) if you have that option. Be aware, however, that YT claims their 720p hidef streaming is still in beta form, and might look jerky or out-of-sync depending on your download and hardware. For best performance let the stream download completely before playing.
There are way too many people and bands to thank here, but we urge you to check out the websites of all the musicians, they are each excellent in their own way. We were really blessed at this Festival to have musicians of the highest caliber.
Check out the Florida Renaissance Festival website for additional information about the various musicians, players, cast, and other characters. - เพลง

Hits different even now
Different how?
pratically made me cry
its so beautiful to see people be happy together like this
I know, the more I listened to this song the more I realized how happy these people are to sing and rejoice together and what really touched me was the line "For we may not or never meet here again", so they're making the most of the moment ^_^
I feel like my body is full of strength every time I listen 🥺
Edward is somewhere pouring some rum
This is still a staple of my local Ren Faire, and it's the most beautiful thing to experience
This became a ritual of my LARP group at the end of the weekend. It got so popular that half the game and the plot team was with us. Unknown to mot of us, my daughter played it at the end of her wedding. since half of us were players, we all started singing. Everyone else is looking around trying to figure out why so many people know the words. :)
What a beautiful story. Thank you for sharing ☺️
For John Diamond, Paul Stickney (The Cardinal), David (Queen of Hearts) and CJ (Colonel Peackock). My forever FLARF friends 🥰
Best way to end a festival
This is pure magic. I feel as if I've genuinely traveled in time just watching the video, I can only imagine the beautiful spirit which was there in person. Thank you for sharing, and may you all be blessed 💚💙💚
This guy is fucking brilliant by the way, never been a huge fan of the Renaissance thing, but this dude. Wow!!! The part he sang at the end, he made up, perfectly in tune with the song.
A toast!
may next next year come as swift as drunkeness, and stay long like a hangover!
My Renn faire years were some of the happiest of my life.
Nancy Benefiel Last year was my first year working a renn faire. I must say, it’s the happiest I’ve been in a long time.
I was introduced to this song through Owain Phyfe at the Bristol Renaissance fair in the 90's. I recently learned of his passing. Seeing a full company singing this, it's beautiful. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving 2021, and I am thankful for companions a day revelry. In the times of the pandemic, we may or might never all meet here again. But when we do gather I'll sing this everytime.
This is what humans are meant to be doing. :-)
Absolutely brilliant. The best version I've heard.
Thank you for the gift of this song. Merry meet, merry part, and merry meet again! Blessed be!
i always get goosebumps when i hear this song at renfest... especially on the last day... then i start crying when i realize i have to wait a WHOLE YEAR till next fair... at least celtic mayhem is in ft.lauderdale every other weekend.
this song is always the cherry on top of the festival
I had to look this song up after hearing it at the end of the Brevard Renaissance Faire at Wickham Park fantasy theme weekend (01/23-24/2021) I never heard this song before.
It's a song from Ireland, a traditional tune. Quite the tear jerker.
that and parting glass i love so much
I always watch this when I'm feeling down. Thanks for capturing this beautiful moment
Got me with that mid summer dream at the beginning.
What a beautiful song.Paul Stickney brought this song up to CT this past spring and it was fantastic. Brings a tear to my eye. Looking forward to coming down to see FLRF and sing it there.
WOW!!! Thank you for this video, I really enjoyed it. We were so much younger too!!!
Absolutely splendid!! Great group. Great musicians. Great version of the song. Great singing. Great emotion. Truly great!
Thank you for sharing this.
@cbvalden, Thank you very much for your comment. I agree the pub sing is usually the best part of the day. We actually just got very lucky with this video to capture a special moment. It was a unique heart-felt bonding with everybody at this very final song of the Festival that I think comes through the video. Every time I watch this myself, I continue to see all kinds of little stories played out in the background among all the singers toasting each others' health. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I love this song!!!
this is seriously the most epic thing ive ever seen. and im a gamer. this might just beat miyamoto....maybe.
This sums it all up. This is wonderful. I can't stop singing with it. Thanks for posting.
This is the best video I've yet seen of this haunting and lovely song. Thanks for posting it. The best part of any renfest, by far, has got to be the pub sing! Huzzah!
I still listen to this often

It’s beautiful..!
Wonderful video SeaWolfSong, thanks for posting it!
I'm from Germany and I'm doing viking reenactment...in museums and so on. So I always looked critically on this American renaissance fairs....but this really looks like a very cool atmosphere....but the costumes are still strange to me : )
Their concept of Renaissance is quite ... funny.
Renn fairs are a great deal of fun!
American renaissance festivals aren’t historical re-enactments, but rather inspired by history. People go for escapism, fun and camaraderie, and this video is a perfect example.
So beautiful
HUZZAH!!! Gearing up for Ohio Ren Fest 2010 here in a few days!!
hehe:) I love Midsummer Night's Dream and this song... beautiful show, heck I didn't even know that historical reconstruction of Renaissance and earlier times are take place in American land... Greetings from Poland!!

Why do america have so many Renaissance festivals when they had no Renaissance?
ShortFunniesTV well, i think it might have something to do with the fact that modern america was founded by people who had renaissance.
Aiman Jadue fuck off
Francis Clifford, 4th Earl of Cumberland because mutton, irish folk songs, jousting and people running around in fairy wings, that's why.
Wer keine Kultur hat, klaut sich eben die Kultur zusammen...
Francis Clifford, 4th Earl of Cumberland I have always wondered that. Somebody mentioned to me before that it was because of the many who have strong family history and tradition from those before who immigrated to the U.S. from Europe. Another mentioned that the reason could be because of inspiration and brought upon as a roleplaying environment.
❤
I see the Limey Birds
Why does Yuscrewed make this so Hard, even when you Saved it, too find?.?.?
