I ditched the hard points and size 4 cargo rack for a fuel scoop. Then put a 5A prismatic and a size 5 FSD booster in it. 324 tons of cargo, a big pile of shields and a 49ly jump range. It’s crushing my federation rank grind.
I hope they address the SRV Deployment issue. Galnet News Digest :The Type-8's Fatal Flaw - kind of kills it as a exobiology ship but I have my DBX for that.
@@zontarr22-zonThe only joke is the very pathetically weak Power Distributor… I really hope FDev buff it to a class 5 at least, but I won’t hold my breath on that one.
I think Ill have to check how much the ship kit is gonna cost before I decide what pack i buy. If its a 16k shipkit, Im just buying the ''stellar'' thing, since Id get a 0 rebuy ship for free with it, the ship kit, being able to buy the thing and all that jazz, all whilst saving 300 arx or so. Definitely buying the ship on day one though
If you pay attention to the thrusters of the ship when you go up and down, they move left to right pointing down and up respectfully if you think about it that should roll the ship not pitch it up and down that is the only thing throwing me off so much
Which of all the prebuilt ships do you think is the best value for money? I already have a python mk1 I use for combat and core mining and a vulture. I feel like the type 8 could be a good addition.
I will using one as trader, mostly for PowerPlay merits when I can’t be bothered to go the combat route… Stick 5 Small Mine Launchers, 2 Reverb, 2 Ion Disruption, 1 Shift Lock… No more fear of gankers or pirates… With a 470 boost you can out run most gank ships and as long as you DONT skimp out on shields, boosters and armour. Interdiction and evasion will just be a minor inconvenience…
Not sure what they are going to win here with 386 shields and 792 armor. Having a few ships that are friendly for new players is not a bad thing and these ships are really just fodder for anything that has been engineered the old-fashioned way.

Just got the stellar build. 🤘🤘🤘 lets go frontier. Keep it up

The only one unhappy right now is my Python freighter that's being aced out of a job here in short order.

I think an Asp/Phantom or a DBX is a much better option. Landing on planets with a large ship is really annoying if you have to do it repeatedly.
Thanks for this! 👍👍
I’ll get it and store it with my other useless ship collection at a station ship yrd!
buying this rn ty for video mate i just want a starting trucker lol ill do combat later
Glad it helped
I bought the beefed up version. Deciding to replace my Python to do cargo boom missions.
Lakon Type 8 - worth it??
you tell us since ONLY a select few can fking use it 🙃
5 class 1 and 1 class 2 hardpoints are a joke and internals low class a joke again.

My personal first choice was Python MK2 Stellar for PvE... bouht, engineered a bit, perfect combat ship with 0 rebuy...
your video Opening shot of the type 8 looks like a LEGO Build...YUK!

Have some spare arx, would you recommend the type 8 stellar or beluga liner?
Or should i spent them for something else?
Type 8
It's the EMD GP38-2 of Elite Dangerous ships.😅
Oh, my dood -- tell me it has 567 prime mover sound.... I wouldn't fly anything else!
@@Tamburello_1994 😆 I'd be happy with the 645E, or maybe dual 12V-567Bs instead. 😉

what if you engineer the modules? do they still have the zero rebuy?

Is the FSD engineered to grade 5 on this ship?
yep
What is the "drag drive"?
Experimental effect on envineering, increasing performance and thermal load I believe.

I would be more willing to buy these ships if the game did not required an internet connection to play solo!...That alone is a big deterrent IMO!
yayy
