Great show again guys! Let’s get Bernard Butler and (perhaps less likely) John Squire on the show, to complete the Britpop bingo, pleeeeeeeeeaaaaase!!!
Great to see so much love for Graham, he is a proper legend and a real inspiration. Back in the 90's it was him, Jeff Buckley, and Gaz Coombes, which inspired me to buy my first proper Tele from Andertons. Such a great player, thanks for having him on ❤
I actually think Graham might be one of my favourite humans of all time.... Thank you for the 2 interviews, they have opened my eyes to what a talent and absolute dude he is...
What I love most about Dan and Mick is how they're very much in their lane when it comes to their own playing. Dare I say it's pretty traditional and conservative. But then they have folks like Graham and Ed O'Brian on who's playing is the antithesis of theirs and we get to see the lads glorying in those sounds. Open minds and open hearts are so beautiful to behold.
I was never really a Blur fan but this is easily one of my favourite interviews in quite some time on the channel.Great questions & Graham was really happy to answer anything & everything. Top job boyos!
What an amazing character Graham is. These type of people are very few and far in between. Absolutly understand how he fit into Blur and their music reflects that. Glorious interview and I learned a lot!
What a Wonderful episode. There's nothing like the re-meeting of the rawness and spit and joy that makes us human. We all need to know one or two people like Graham. Thank you guys!
Fairport Convention meets King Crimson is a vibe I can definitely get behind! Love it when there's someone who's a little bit more in my musical wheelhouse on the show, but who are still total guitar nerds just like the rest of us. Must be the time of year when I briefly learn how to play Coffee & TV properly, yet again, then forget as it's so damn weird! Brilliant show, love you guys, love Graham 😊
Great episode, I saw Blur at Wembley last year and The Waeve at Warwick Castle a couple of months ago supporting Noel Gallagher. Both completely different gigs but Graham was mesmerising each time. What a legend ❤
Such a brilliant show, I absolutely loved it. To get Graham once was amazing, to get him twice is...well, I feel very spoiled! Thanks again for all that you do Dan and Mick. And thanks Graham for all the brilliant music and guitar playing over the years.
I'm glad the soundtracks were mentioned. TEOTFW 2 and Superstate were incredible pieces of work. Graham's work in recent years I'd describe as adding texture to a song. There's something new to hear with each listen.
Another great episode, guys. Graham is a huge inspiration, and the sole reason why I own a Tele, even though I’ll never sound like him. But that’s why he’s such a huge inspiration 😊 Now, please please please please please flush out Kevin Shields and get him on the show. And ask him when the next MBV album is coming while you’re at it 😅
TPS consistency: A+ shows that are interesting and with plenty of wit! I love Graham. Where I live in the states and being a bit older than Mick & Dan, I missed things like Blur and Pulp. I have to give my son credit for turning me on to the Guerillas - and TPS for Graham/Blur. Boy, did I miss out. Oh, and Pulp is the band I always needed in my life that I did not have. Saw them live last weekend with my son. He's a good lad! I would have never known to go. Life changing. I finished my pedalboard today during this episode and it rocks (GigRig power and a QMX-6).
Graham's been my favourite guitarist since I first heard Blur... oh far too many years ago now lol. Lovely bloke too :) He's in his element here and it's always a joy to watch.
A great interview. You’ve got the feel blues guy asking tech questions And the the tech guy asking feel questions about visual arts and how music and art are intertwined . Mick and Dan are at the top of their game and tps is a leader , you chart your own path and we love it . Thanks TPS
Wonderful stuff, brilliant to hear somebody so creative and imaginative in action, loved the piece at the end and the shy smile said it all, a guy with incredible natural talent and yet apparently without ego. Go Graham, absolutely loved it mate. Thanks TPS!
Thanky you for this! Graham is one of the greatest living (and actively creating) musicians of our time! And the quality of his recent output is just unbelievable: Darren, End of the F***ing World and the last Waeve album I consider simply classics (and I am old fashioned and super picky).
He’s the reason I first started learning the guitar in about 1993, and his work with Blur through that era was amazing - but he’s reached even higher levels with the waeve I reckon in terms of musicality and the complexity of each song.
Another timeless episode! I love hearing Rockstars talk about their previous and upcoming projects. It is so interesting to hear what inspired their creativity. Woo! ❤
Man that is so much like me. I will draw out a number of circuits that are ok. Then go to sleep and something happens and then there is magic and you know that is what you should build! Love that EQ sound, can get that through a treble booster and a bucket delay with the repeats off. Great show thanks so much!
Graham is utterly special. As someone who tries to write, I am in many ways inspired by how Graham approaches the instrument. He's a true 21st century guitarist.
Superb show... Thank you fellas. And that bethnal green... What a unique shade of green. I don't recall seeing any other guitar that particular green. Very funky indeed!
@@michelleneeds4165 You could be right... I don't see that particular green after a quick look on their website. Whatever the story, it's definitely a unique shade of green, that pops without being too bright or flashy like a bright lime. Cheers!
I was hanging a new shower curtain while listening to you three Fellas. The outro Grahem was leg ends to the toes good Sir...and the praise at the last seconds...yeah Boys! So good
Very enjoyable episode! I honestly didn't know who Graham Coxon is, & Blur doesn't exist in my world. To top it off the aesthetic of the green guitar was seriously offending my sensitive disposition. However it turns out Graham is an interesting guy, with some very cool tastes
Great show again guys!
Let’s get Bernard Butler and (perhaps less likely) John Squire on the show, to complete the Britpop bingo, pleeeeeeeeeaaaaase!!!
And James Dean Bradfield
Nick McCabe… it’ll never happen, but it would be something.
I'd die if Squire ever came on. His sounds with the Roses were guitar perfection IMHO and the reason I've spent a fortune on vintage JBLs.
Yes we absolutely need John squire. He's literally my guitar hero
@@garygallagher7341 Do you get a mate to stand behind your amps, dance weirdly and drive the settings on an Alexis Midiverb?
Possibly the most talented, inventive and thoughtful guitarist of his generation. Thank you for having him on again.
Jonny Greenwood entered the conversation. Love them both!
Ive always liked his playing too. It's great to see that he is one of us, he gets it. Thanks Dan and Mick! And keep making awesome music Graham!

Same... Great time to be alive !
I know just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse
Happy with both :)
@@southpawjinx1Oh no southpaw jinx has spoke
Graham's first appearance is definitely up there in my list of top tps episodes, such a treat to have him back, just a gem of a man.
Saw Blur live for the first time last year which made me realise how good a player he actual is
TPS is the best. I'm an old boomer and I get introduced, in a unique wonderful way, to artists I missed along the way of life.
Please go and listen to the entire Parklife album by Blur.
Graham's playing through the album defined Brit Pop for me
Love Parklife but 13 has my favourite Graham playing
I actually think Graham might be one of my favourite humans of all time.... Thank you for the 2 interviews, they have opened my eyes to what a talent and absolute dude he is...

Mick is very blues focussed (nothing wrong in that), Dan can be quite out there at times though.
@@JtotheP68Fair enough. Though most of his non-blues that I’ve heard is Jazz based and a case can be made for most Jazz being conservative also.
I have been loving this musician for a long time. He never disappoints
Truly one of the all time greats of electric guitar.
Amazing work fellas, what an episode!
Blown away hearing Graham through the Artist 60+RT as well. ♥
When is Robert Smith coming to TPS!?! And Brian Molko. ❤. Another great one, fellows.
The older he gets the better his voice gets, assuming you're talking about the cure guy.
I was never really a Blur fan but this is easily one of my favourite interviews in quite some time on the channel.Great questions & Graham was really happy to answer anything & everything.

agree, he comes across as disarmingly candid and honest for a guy who has sold millions of records
Graham needs to be on the show at least once a year! Consistently the most entertaining guest!
What an amazing character Graham is. These type of people are very few and far in between. Absolutly understand how he fit into Blur and their music reflects that. Glorious interview and I learned a lot!
One of the most interesting and unique guitarists/songwriters of our time! Thanks for putting him on the show.
What a Wonderful episode. There's nothing like the re-meeting of the rawness and spit and joy that makes us human. We all need to know one or two people like Graham.

It's so funny how Dan and Graham can't stop looking at the pedalboard while talking! :)

Graham is really one the guitar hero’s of his generation. Trying to learn some of his parts will show you how exceptional his playing is.
This was brilliant, Graham’s playing is so musical, super fun guy to listen to as well. Great show
Graham reminds me of Johnny Marr he is so unique in his approach to guitar great show 🌈🏴❤️
Got his picture taken with him and noel. Lots of Fripp and belew references in The Waeve
My ears pricked up at Fripp and Belew. I’ll check that out today.

I refuse to believe it's been 6 years since Graham was on. In my mind that's a "new" TPS epsiode!
Feeling inspired after hearing these sounds! Thanks for this! Gonna go make noise! Cheers!
Love everything Graham does, what a legend! And great interview!
Such a fantastic interview. Well done in navigating the space between gear and music with this one. Nailed it!
I like how Graham’s tone descriptions sound like names for The Seven Dwarves
Great stuff, really enjoyed this! Nice one Graham.
This has absolutely made my day ♥️
These interview formats are brilliant and Graham is utterly inspiring
I was at Wembley last Summer. Blur really know how to pace a show, they are all great musicians but Graham was on fire.
Brilliant. Love him
Now this guy can really play with pedals. I love it.!
Always interesting conversation with Graham on. Loved it.
He’s grown on me so much over the years - it’s the constant exploration and renewal. Mick said it - fearless. But with modesty….
Thank you lads. That was a great watch. Happy weekend and enjoy the loud guitars in good health
Yeah! So glad to watch one of my favorite guitar players again on TPS!
I saw Graham with the Waeve at Green Man festival this year - great band
That EQ pedal setting is equal parts genius and nuts...which is as good a description of his playing in general as any!
Yes. GC is the man. Waeve it up fellas.
Thanks fellas !!
How can you not love that guy - The Britpop Nigel Tufnell 🙌
Jonny Greenwood would be a great guest.
Another hugely underrated guitarist.
Is he really underrated lol? I mean both Jonny and GC are widely regarded as two of the best guitarists of the last 30 years or so…
Please Im begging, get Bernard Butler on the show some time! He’s just put out a new record that’s great

What a beautiful, original, precise, and articulate answer Graham gives to Mick's headspace question (c. 27.08 - 30.48)
