Morning Reverent Bob. I’m here with my big mug of tea. I only finished one book last week. Held by Ann Michaels on audio. I would have done better with a text& audio combo. Our Evening is on my audio TBR. Hitch hiking! Oh boy the stories I could tell.
What a great reading week, Bob! I particularly like the sounds of the Sarah Moss book and Negative Capability, but my thoughts are turning to Nonfiction November! Thanks for sharing your reading! ❤️📚
Really enjoying Our Evenings. I’m just over half way through. The writing is incredible and I’m enjoying his use of dialogue and the way he has of observing interactions between characters. There are some really funny moments and heartbreaking ones too. I find with Alan Hollinghurst that there are further pleasures with re-reading. I certainly found that with the Sparsholt Affair as that’s a book that reveals more of itself over time.
Ooh, I’d love to re-read some of his at some point- it’s so clear he loves writing and layering in various thoughts into it, so I can imagine they’re very rewarding on a re-read!
Hi Bob - I’m new to Sarah Moss so I’m wondering which of her fiction books you would recommend I start with. Thanks and I love your videos and recommendations!
@ I just finished Ghost Wall and you were right - it was a real treat! Love her writing and such an interesting story…I will be reading more of her work. Thanks for the recommendation!
