I'm pretty sure those barriers at Jean-Drapeau are to help guide people along and line them up a bit when there are massive crowds using the station all at once. Last year I was at a concert in Parc Jean-Drapeau, and when it was over almost 40 000 people were leaving at the same time. I'm sure the barriers help with crowd control.
The city is working on making Metro stations accessible by adding elevators. And Edouard Montpetit station will be a transfer station for the REM. That could explain at least some of the construction.
If you’ve ridden the Montreal metro before, comment what your favorite station was!
Lionel-Groulx is the best station in the city. Charlevoix is neat because of how deep it is
@@derekstewart2956 Though charlevoix can get annoying day to day for that reason, it take an eternity to go down

People regularly die in crowd pile-ups
And not just in India or Saudi-Arabia
I, too, like the bridge very much :)
In De Castelnau, you got picture sculp in the concrete evoquing rural life to remember the March. Jean-Talon close by.
Well done. For your kind information, most of the construction sites you saw is related to make these stations wheelchair accessible.
Oh that makes sense, that's a good reason for construction
I think the construction at Edouard Montpetit is either due to rem construction or elevators being installed or both
They are modifying the whole station to link with the REM that is way below it, you will have to take elevators like going down a mine.
In Parc the station end up in the formerly Gare Du Nord where they use to take The little train of the north. Now The Communer train to Saint-Jérome.

6:00 The crates on the left are pieces of an escalator! The trolleys on the right might have something to do with escalator maintenance as well.
16:25: it might gonna sound morbid but it’s actually referring to the tombstones of the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges cemetery
I enjoyed all the complaining you did
I'm very good at complaining
@@patrickhundley1203 same, it my one joy.
