I have been looking for guys like you. Thank you for making this channel. There is very few people who alter electronics or or what I like to say they mad Max them out.
Same
Haha this was sweet to see. Quick note though, the BUC (block upconverter) just converts from the baseband (modem output) L, C or IF band to Ku or Ka band for SATCOM. The actual power (the 65 watts) is supplied by a SSPA or HPA, in this case it could be either, just a signal amplifier. So from a signal level, it outputs from the baseband at a low power (limited by generation power of the baseband), goes through the BUC to upconvert to a higher frequency signal, then through the amplifier to reach a power level that can hit out to those 2200 miles away! Super cool stuff though, I love stumbling across vsat stuff on the interwebs! Used to do this stuff for a career for a while then got out of it!
No idea what any of it does or is for but I like the retro rugged look of it very much 👏🖖
Thanking you most kindly from England UK
That one sweat set up to bad I'm none of the above I'm sure you can do multiple things with this type of set up. Two of them would make a awesome easy long range point to point access system that for sure 💯👍📺📻💻⚒️✌️
This is dope af! I'd love to have this!
You're talking about private communications (between two stations like this, I suppose), is there a specific provider that grants the access to the satellite ? A subscription fee ? I'm interested in the details.
There is a fixed dish feeding the same kind of modem for audio/control at one of my broadcast towers we rent to a network.
amazing!
To think a starlink dish will do all of this now. You can see why it’s so popular for commercial
🤔
I was wondering if the dish and a different BUC and wave sauce/spaghetti could be used as an EW asset against flying washing machines.
Maybe it‘s just me, but this is interesting kit.
Not quite run-of-the mill at all.
Thanks for sharing!
Oohhhhh I want that
Do you do satellite internet?
Beyond cool. Keep the content coming.
Where did you find one of these? Can you just buy one or is it special?
Anyone can buy one if you have the money. They are designed for and have MIL-SPEC so they are expensive. New they cost around for the whole kit $100,000 USD. Surplus you can get them for around $20,000
I like this!
Who has $15,000+ to spend on a MP-80-MOT C-Comsat ManPack, Flyaway Antenna and C-Com iNetVu 8020 Antenna Controller
Holy God, expensive. Nice to see the setup.
🤨🤔 this what I'm talking about 😮 I would 😁 buy it (this is truly next level) I just need +20k (whit which I don't know what better to do) but It would be great
Cool😮
How did you get your hands on the milspec satcom system?
hello! I would like to buy one of this and how much???
How much is a system like this?
Where Can I buy onre?
@@peterfairlie2296 what about civ spec? if a starlink dish costs $600 and gets you into low orbit satellites i cant imagine a setup that can do this kind of stuff costing anywhere north of a rack
