You can stay in the park after 18:00 if you want to. Actually, 18:00 is the time the queues are closed but they still need to empty. So you can easily stay for at least 30 min up to an hour extra. Just no more attractions to queue for.
It is nice to come back after such a short while since you where here last summer. Then everything is still fresh in your memory. I am 63 now, and went to the Efteling lots of times, but only during summer with sunny weather and blue skies. I just like the park when it is warm you can sit everywhere and just observe people enjoying themselves while you have a drink and snack. I see you left two family members behind ! I hope they are not mad on you about that 🙂 Thank you for this nice video again !
@HansJongstra yeah we did on this occasion as they couldn't be taken out of school but we are all coming back again in April for a longer trip with lots more planned in the Netherlands 😁yeah i understand what you mean,I said before that I could go to efteling and not even do any attractions and still have a wonderful time, it's just amazing being there 😀
There are days the Efteling opens till 20:00 or even till 22:00. Mostley when there's school holidays. And on new years eve they open from 19:00 till 01:00. There are dj's, live music, and fireworks at 0:00. And all the attractions are open. The price includes parking, a glass of Champagne and a "oliebol". Maybe an idea for next year? 😉 Love to see you all enjoying the Efteling so much. I grew up with this park.
The christmas sausage is actually a smoked sausage, put on top of snert (=split pea-soup, a typical Dutch winter-treat). Has nothing to do with Christmas, as you can eat it the whole year through, but the combination with snert is tupically representing winter in the Netherlands
@eftelsemi what does pjotr mean then please? Thank you for the info 😁, the next efteling video (day 2) should be out in the next 4 or 5 days hopefully 😀
One thing about the ice skates. Its €2,50 per time u use them. After your skating sessio on the ice please bring them back. Others also want to skate. It's not your property for how long you are at the park for the day(s). Only for one session. I know we Dutch are known for being cheapskates. But even this goes to far.😅 2,50 is a very cheap price for renting.
Christmas for the Dutch speaking only starts after the 5th, or 6th December traditionally (at least: for the Dutch: the 5th, and Flemish: the 6th) NOT before that! It would be sacrilege!! So: Christmas (tree, decorations and things), BEFORE the 5th December..... NOT done!! Although a lot of people will DO that nowadays. Because the influence of the English speaking countries (mainly USA). Of the movies, advertisements (Coca Cola 1930's: which is: THE Santa Claus, we know today), etc....... BTW: Sinterklaas= Santa Claus. Sinterklaas IS de kerstman! Ze zijn van oorsprong hetzelfde!! Maar ja..... Niemand die dit nog weet. Omdat we allemaal verslaafd zijn aan sociale media... The same man. Saint Nicolas. Sint Nicolaas. A man who lived in Asia Minor, by the Romans (then: Christian territory, but nowadays Muslim Turkey).
This goes from I would say spot 1-5 on my park bucket list, but at winter it isn’t a debate, it’s guaranteed the top!
@MosasaurusCoasters it's a park everyone should visit I think, 😊we love it, going back again in 4 months
Nice to see you guys back at Efteling, I really enjoyed your last Efteling video. Cant wait to go again myself! And your little boy is such a cutie.
Welcome back to efteling! Right in time for danse macabre too!
@TTHBLOX_ thank you 😊 we just had to go back for Winter Efteling 😁😁
39:06 I can recommend getting the frikandel (meat stick) next time! Very famous in Holland haha.

40:02 that is a kroket. Ragout is basically a roux with beef stock and meat.
@rmyikzelf5604 thank you 😊
Have you been to winter efteling in the past? Or are you planning to go this year or in the future?

@Xardom thank you for that info 😀
You were saying that it might be busier at the big rides. Have you used the Efteling app? It's actually well made and useful. :)
@kevintjekevin yeah i had it but didn't feel the need to use it much on this trip really 😁
You're not supposed to take the Ice skates with you. You have to hand them in after you're done 😀
