  • This is a short clip from one of our dives at the Normania wreck. On the way back up during our safety stop we encountered a good sized shark that was very aggressive with multiple attempts to come towards us until we got into the boat.
Shark came close enough that I nudged it away with my speargun.
Shark appears to be missing the top half of it's tail.
    Enjoy :)

I wonder if it had anything to do with the sushi platter hanging off your belt...

That shark was just trying to make an appt with Dr. Davis to get his back adjusted!

Does this lead you to think about investing in a Shark Banz or something like that? I see a good number of divers wearing them on videos.

I have used their shark banz2 bracelet for years. After 2 dive trips I had this season where we encountered unusually more aggressive sharks than normal, I decided to buy their Freedom7. Since then I haven't even so much as seen a shark whereas I'm used to seeing at least one or two most dives. The only downside to the Freedom7 is it's very common for me to shock myself, especially while on the bottom trying to catch a lobster. That part sucks, but I will still continue to dive with it regardless.
