That's composing is of a close to nature musician named Tuomas Holopainen, founder and leader of Nightwish. All his compositions have a deeper meaning.
"At the end of PI". I think that if humankind is gone then PI goes with it. There's no one left to understand PI. Ratkind will have to go through many generations and maybe they will bring it back. 😂🤘
Personally I interpret the lyrics "should've never appeared" as referring to the sheer mathematical improbability of life's development, let alone the existence of Homo Sapiens.
For me, I think the ones "at the end of pi" who "should've never appeared " are an evolutionary kind that develops after the demise of "mankind our kin aeons ago ". I think I've heard Dawkins refers to them as Ratkind. They would have never appeared if mankind had taken care of the planet instead of destroying it to the point that humanity could no longer survive on it. But after the end of humanity they evolved to be the primary sentient species on the planet. From their point in history they recognize both the strengths of the past and the faults. I feel like this song is meant to be them warning us from the future. My 2 cents. Procession is my favorite song on the album.
Same here. By all odds, Homo Sapiens shouldn't have appeared, but here we are. Yes, the math applies to all species, but that's what makes it awesome and precious.
its like all things considered how should we proceed here like where do we as either the destroyers or creators go from here then what are we going to do about these animals that are dying off or killed to extinction and how do we not become extinct in the process since animals don't kill when they aren't hungry and at the same time animals have to hunt to survive

Beautiful and sad song that exhibits the members of this band's giving and love of nature. They do sponsor various foundations in this genre.
You're one of the few who is reacting on the songs of their latest fantastic dubble album Human and Nature 🤘🏻
Nice continuing journey
