They estimate that there are 50k homeless people in California. I am probably being conservative, but half of those are on heavy drugs they cannot handle and behave like this. I don't know if this guy being known in the neighborhood means he was a legitimate resident or local homeless guy, but with so many homeless guys wandering aimlessly through life and traffic against red lights, they barely register on the criminal scale no matter how many people they attack. This guy, if he was known to prosecutors and judges, was most likely treated like a typical homeless crazy.

No a few nasty tactical errors on her part. She used the firearm so close to the perp he could have disarmed her and used it against both of them. Second her first thought was to put the firearm down on the table with the perp right there still. Both of those errors could easily have led to their deaths. By sheer luck it worked in their favor.

I saw this in Chinese TikTok, it was terrifying. They explained that the guy asked the wife to get his gun and shoot. He said that it was a mysterious man that was drunk and had mental health problems. I’m not sure if the man is dead, but props to the wife for being such a brave women.

His wife never gave the unarmed man a chance to comply with verbal commands. Her husband even had a dominant position at the time of the shooting.
He opened the door and shoved the man as hard as he could. He was never attacked until he attacked first. If the decreased came there to kill he would have a weapon and WOULD NOT wait for the person inside to make the first move.

@@Kinetic.44 I did not hear any audio, so how do you KNOW:
      1. A verbal death threat was NOT issued by the "DECREASED" at ANY time before, or during, the "visit"?
      2. Verbal commands were NOT being delivered from both residents throughout the "visit"?
      3. The "DECREASED" is really dead?

@kinetic: I see you posting this repeatedly on this video. Like gbtrimph, I too wonder how you know no verbal commands were given? I heard no audio so we have no idea what was being said.
      1. We do not know what threats were being verbalized by either party, what commands were being given, nothing zip nada. No audio.
      2. According to the police release he was very drunk and known to get drunk and cause problems in the neighborhood.
      3. Fists can kill. You can use a firearm to protect yourself even if the assailant is “unarmed” bc you don’t need a weapon to kill someone.
It’s always unfortunate when someone loses their life, especially a 22 year old. But we do not know what the nature of their relationship was; what previously happened that night between them, what was being said during the altercation. If you have more information post it. It seems like if the man didn’t bang on the door and even if he was pushed immediately had not thrown haymakers and left the house he wouldn’t have been shot in someone else’s home after fighting the owner. But if you have more info, please post.

I'm really appreciating the mature, reasonable, genuinely adult assessments here. Like sincerely, it's a breath of fresh air among all of the fringe reactions we see to these kinds of content.
And not like there's really any solution for this; but I always cringe when I think about the hearing damage in these situations. It really is a genuine life-long cost someone makes you pay when they push you to discharge your weapon. I've been there without ear pro (in a car with the windows up), and I can't even articulate how ferocious the impulse is on your eardrums. It literally traveled down my eustachian tubes, tickled my throat and gave me permanent hearing damage. Instantly from that moment forward there's 9,000hz in both my ears 24/7 and total hearing loss above that. Again, there's really nothing we can do about this in an emergent situation, but as someone with permanent hearing damage, it's impossible for me to not think about it whenever I see something like this.
Like.. I mean if you have the presence of mind I suppose you could save one ear by sticking a finger in it before you discharge, but I feel like you'd look like a sociopath doing that. 🤣

The reason guns are being blurred is because it sends a message of fear for people who have no experience with firearms, making it easier for those people to vote for more gun laws. Now that i've got that off my chest, I hope hers and her husband's eardrums make a full recovery.
