Thank you for the overview. I purchased the 4K version and wish I had gone with the ISO model. By the way, what camera/lens combo were you using that allowed for focusing and other adjustments?
The ATEM Software Control is where you'd insert the RTMP streaming keys when streaming, it's also where you can adjust settings for recording such as the bitrate and the file name/structure. You'd also need the software for setting up any and all hyperdecks for video playback and recording. The software allows you to adjust and control your multiview monitor, label inputs, make macros and a whole lot more. It's pretty necessary. Check out my full ATEM Software Control video if you haven't seen it yet.
If you look at Page 58 of the ATEM HD8 Manual, you'll find Audio Output Channel Mapping. The manual is available here: documents.blackmagicdesign.com/UserManuals/ATEM_Television_Studio_HD_Manual.pdf?_v=1705651210000
“The destination display and select bus together show the routing of sources to keys”; the display is not a button and the only way to change the routing is through the LCD? Please demo
I'm not quite sure what the quote is in reference to since that doesn't seem to be something I said. But the routing is shown at 6:14 where you can switch Aux 1 and Aux 2. In regards to routing inputs to the various buttons, that is shown as well at 4:42. Do you have a specific question about that?
Thanks for all your replies. 4:42 is button mapping, 6:14 is aux routing. The quote is from the user manual. To be more specific - how do you set the fill source for USK/ DVE (PiP)? Can that only be done with the LCD? Or can you use the buttons above the program bus?
Fantastic device 🎉 So positively envious 😎
Great video! Thanks for the in depth review!

@@EDLEEPHOTO I had the Blackmagic micro G2 camera with I believe a 14-42mm lens.
@@zephanmosesthe Micro G2 is amazing with ATEMs.
I’m curious for which functions and settings the ATEM Control Software is still needed. Also what headset (brand and model) can be used

Swapping out the NVmE should just be a swap in and out. Just pop the back off. The Hyperdecks were so very easy to add them to.
is there any plans that there will be a 4k version?
@@SeminarSchlossBogenhofen there is a 4K model already. The Blackmagic Atem 4K8.
@@zephanmosesalthough the 4k8 cannot do ISO recordings. I think you’d need a hyperdeck for each feed you wanted to record.
