The Alphabet Killer is a tense psychological thriller that evokes deep emotions in the viewer and leaves him in tense anticipation.
The plot of the film revolves around the young and talented detective Megan Page, who investigates a series of murders of children whose number corresponds to the letters in the alphabet. Megan feels a lot of pressure when she fails to find the killer and save the next potential victim. Her desperation and despair grow with each new case.
During the investigation, Megan herself faces her inner demons and psychological problems that prevent her from working. She begins to feel that her mind has succumbed to pressure and is on the edge between reality and questionable beliefs.
The viewer experiences with Megan her inner struggle, fears and mixed feelings as she tries to solve the mystery of these brutal murders. From tension and anxiety to shock and disappointment - emotions are great and caressed throughout the film.
The Alphabet Killer offers the viewer a sense of surprise and unpredictability, and also allows you to feel the depth of the psychological and emotional conflicts of the main character. This is a thriller that keeps you in suspense until the last second and leaves a mark in the hearts of the audience, making them think and analyze the events around them.

Very Good Film. I suspected that guy who was the Killer. Anything with Eliza Dushku is usually worth watching. She is a good Actress.

Joseph Naso was convicted and sentenced to death, so this is pretty much where it ended? Not sure if he was released or executed though, seems to be little information about that. He WAS on death row though.
Hi Bruce Hodge, it says at the end of the Film that they never caught the Alphabet Killer. I watched the end of this Film again, the way it ended there could have been a Sequel. In the Film we don't see the guy Shot and Dead, but goes into the Water. It is implied She see's the Dead or if this is a delusion, She decides anyway that She will get out of the Mental Institution and Hunt this guy down and kill him ergo my first comment. But thankyou for the Information. I find these types of Films interesting and I usually figure out who is the Criminal or Criminals. Have a good Weekend. From Sunny Britain😎☺️
@@margaretpipe4766 Hi, the end of the film is just a film ending (Tom Malloy the screenwriter certainly took some liberties with the facts when writing the screen play). Joseph Naso WAS arrested and was on death row. Not sure if he had the charges against him dismissed, couldn't find that out (not much available about that), but if he had been dismissed and released that whole situation could mean the killer was still out there - so maybe there could be a sequel? The last I could find said that 50 years after the killings it was still being investigated (that would be in the early 2020s then). Whole thing is rather intriguing. And greetings from Tasmania 🥶🥶
Tom it is interesting what You have found out and how they then portray a Story in Film. But they do tend to do this with a number of Films and different Genres. But sometimes I feel Films can leave out important information about a Film based on Fact. Another Film which I like is the Zodiac Killer, again based on Fact and I have read the Book too, but this story has had more than one film and they again change vital information. I do prefer Films that have been written well and they make You think and like You, I have researched the Story. Thankyou, for your reply Margaret, Sunny Britain 😎

The killer was never found even though it was shown here who the killer was 😟 So some parts of the story here were just fiction?
Yeah, often when they say * based on fact * there's some truth and some fiction just to make a good movie.
True but sad that facts on crimes based on true stories ALLWAYS had their one ways of NOT getting it all out... Just course it is long time ago its still an crime that has been made and if something has to be untold DONT MAKE 60% FACTS MOVIES ABOUT THEM.. 🙏💔

I am not convince with the logic of this film,the youger running away with the killer is wearing dirty white pantas,now the girl lying dead was wearing a denim pants and why the killer wasting his time to put on the pants and hang the undies on branch of a tree.

Usually serial killer have certain behavior, some narcissistic psychotic killer wants to be known by their unique characteristics. This one is the alphabet thing and the undies.
and one can obviously see cars on the other side of the road and yet the girl opts for the woods! could've done in in a more secluded area to be more realistic.
I thought this. Made no sense to head for the woods. Also, he grabbed her in full view, but she was looking for him from beside the tree. She'd have seen him right there to her right!

These films use stereotypes, and shortcuts so easy to work out who the bad guys are. . However, still a good film and her acting was brilliant.

@@jazzcafe6411 I completely got the plot, but I don't really know what stereotypes (i.e. easily understood) has to do with plot? /respecttfully, I don't think you understand how stereotypes are used in films. It was easy to work out from the beginning who was responsible.

What got me is she could disable and damage that orderly all doped up on thorazine, but after a nap, she lost all her cop combat training skills and was completely powerless against the killer.

WTF? Infanticide is not the Alphabet Killer, its a totally different movie. This movie is the alphabet killer, based on a true story. Wish the uploaders would know what they are uploading. Obviously no interest in what they're doing other than making money off gaining views. 😡😡😡

It was based on the book the Alphabet Killer by JEFF VANOUDENHOVE, which was based on the real life case popularly referred to as the double initial murders. '10-year-old Carmen Colon was murdered in November of 1971; 11-year-old Wanda Walkowicz in April 1973 and 11-year-old Michelle Maenza in November of 1973. All were sexually assaulted, killed and either thrown or dragged to their resting spot by a passing motorist. The killer, or killers, have never been found. They were known as the Alphabet Murders because each girl's first and last name started with the same letter. While unsolved, they helped spark much-needed research on sexual homicide offenders who target children. The film is based very, very loosely on a real story. But screenwriter Tom Malloy pretty much made this story entirely his own. The basic facts of the case are that there once was a killer whose victims were young girls whose first and last names started with the same letter."
