I have family that bought a home in Sherwood when it was really first developing. I went to the Robin Hood Festival and everything. The town has really grown up since the 90s. Really nice place to live and raise a family!
Never been there but looking for a vibrant small town to retire with hubby. We want total walkability to town. Would we be able to find a sweet little home with at least 2 bedrooms and 2 baths in the 500k range? Also interested in a possibility of a home with a rental area/ADU. Julie
Hi Julie! Sherwood could be a great option. If you want a smaller town Silverton Oregon is also really cute. It's much smaller but has a really cool vibrant downtown area. You can find both of those in that price range.
McMinnville is nice town as well, it's a lot further from Portland and the Airport. If that's not an issue for you it could be a good fit. It's more of a rural feeling, lot's of vineyards around. I would recommend coming out to visit once you get to that point in your research.

That’s great to hear, thanks for sharing your experience! I can see why Sherwood has been voted in the top friendliest small town in America.

I have seen videos on McMinnville as well. How does that compare with the other two?
