Thanks TDA, this was great. I never really liked Atreides but playing them now feels like a brand new faction, loads I didn't realise until this video.
Awesome guide! just bought the game recently and its pretty overwhelming learning all the systems. Apparently there's been a lot of new updates so would be great to see a new vid from you covering the game.
Luckily a lot of this still applies, but the recent update definitely makes things look and feel different. I might do *another* update on the guides when I get the time though, as a few things definitely changed!
@@TheDutchActuary thanks great guide bro, but right at the beginning of the atreides guide you can choose Duncan who is no longer an option for me - instead I have Young Paul instead... so who are the better options with his extras being: produces 2 authority per allied seitch; allying a seitch reveals another seitch; when first sietch is revealed it's relation level is always at 30?
@@bennyfastfingers4203 I'd probably go with the last one. The first one is nice but takes a while to pay off, while the 3rd one speeds things off. That said, i'm not a huge fan of any of them ;)
Thanks for the guide... Finally I got a victory! Everytime I fight against the smugglers they get me winning in the stock market... Now I understand the dynamics of the game are more about diplomacy, and keeping cost a low
It's incredible how much they change and update the game :P I've spam played it the last 7 days and though the guides absolutely still stand, you can see how many stats change has been done it the last 3 months :P
Honestly I forgot about that myself, but the main reason is that the upgrades are rather underwhelming. The tradeoffs are (in my opinion) mostly a sidegrade, and therefore not really worth it.
@@TheDutchActuary I hope so in my opinion its the hardest house to play correctly actually the only one i still struggle with i just oppressing every village and ending bankrout after few minute, hope you will made a guide on them to show us the path :D
Thanks to this guide I got my first ever victory in any kind of 4X game.
Congratz! Now on to many more!

Thanks for the guide! Even though the tech tree was outdated, some tips helped me achieve my first win.
Congratz!

Awesome! Smugglers next pleeeease!
Smugglers are very fun to play with the underworld headquarters..
One thing noone seems to talk about is what Barracks unit upgrades are worth it
Honestly I forgot about that myself, but the main reason is that the upgrades are rather underwhelming. The tradeoffs are (in my opinion) mostly a sidegrade, and therefore not really worth it.
@@TheDutchActuary Luckily the game is still in early access, hopefully they get tweaked some?
Hi, really liked your vid and learned the basics from it. Will you make a new one now the game is out of beta and the tech tree has changed?
Quite possible!
Thx a lot ! 😉
Anyone know how to load troops IN to the Kraken?
Select the troops and rightclick the Kraken, and they will hop right in ;)
The guide is outdated, any chance of a new version?
Do you need to update this guide after the last patch?
I don't think there's anything changed to the point this one needs an update, but let me know if I missed anything!
@@TheDutchActuary It was a great guide actually!
Duncan Idaho is not a councellor anymore
Harkonen next?
Possibly!

Game is great but I prefer old ones like Dune 2000
The corrino are the easiest to win with
And.... 😳 They've just updated the game again, haven't they.... 😅
Yup -_-
The freaking game is more Duneish than Dune itself...🤣😂
I know right :D
