    Someone suggested to clean up the broken bottle necks on a mini stand to hold marbles. The larger bottle necks to hold those glass lawn glass balls. Inserting sand in neck plugging both ends to add the weight needed. Just a thought for a market for you boys over there.

    Great dig Tom. Love all the labels, would a makeup brush not dust off a little of the mud then clear varnish to preserve the label? I've never been bottle digging so don't know how fragile they are. Love your video's. Thanks for sharing with us.

  • @johnsmillie6111
    @johnsmillie6111 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hope you have recovered from your illness Tom. The white ceramic object with the grooves and swirls looks like something you get on top of a Telegraph pole? Another suggestion if it would help? When you are digging deeper, rather than shovelling all the soil out, would a bucket attached to a rope be easier to clean it out and someone could stay up top to haul the buckets out?

    • @bottlediggertom
      @bottlediggertom  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The way we do it is Therers always another person digging out and spotting. The bucket approach puts additional weight on the sides as somebody has to be close to the sides and that can be dangerous to the digger at the bottom

    Question ; Do you guys brake stuff in the holes with the use of your pitchforks ? It seems more than likely to me that this would happen and what can you do to avoid this ? What you do is fun , i'm paralized , wish i could enjoy my self finding historical things and making them live again.

    • @bottlediggertom
