Thank you so much Steve! I keep watching your videos over and over and over to keep it fresh in memory until I get an opportunity to work in the field.
A pleasant day to you sir, your videos about CSSD have been very educational, i learned a lot from it and was entertained at the same time by ur stories. Thanks a lot for the infos. However, I am just wondering if u have more videos about prep & packaging. Again thanks. 👏👍
I'm a manufacturer of all kinds of surgical and dental instruments and will be happy if you'll try our instruments I'm sure that you will find best instruments
God Bless ! Thanks to yours vids I am understanding and cruising through Central Sterile Processing courses. My current position is medical supply tech. Yesterday I was assigned to open boxes containing for central sterile, thoratic, hip replacement, knee replacement, vascular, etc. Are these the instruments ordered from the doctor/surgeon for their procedure and do they get sterilized? Thanks.
Great to hear that the videos are helping. As for your question, doctors are certainly allowed to order their own instruments for which they may have a preference. However, in most cases all orders go through sterile processing but are marked special for a doctor or department.
Gravity air displacement is a method of high temperature steam sterilization where expanding steam displaces / removes residual air from the chamber. A slightly different method is dynamic air removal sterilizer that uses vacuum pumps to remove the air from the chamber.
always watching your videos ... amazing teacher ....can I barrow Ur brain for 3hours when I take exam ...can U give me so tip to pass my exam ....God bless😍😍😍
@@preciousghem1924 don't worry everything will be good. Watch the videos take notes and read the book. Do some practice tests online again and again. Do the tests with an open book.
A basic log sheet kept by the sterilizer will suffice. However, I must caution you that unless you are mandated to provide and maintain a record I would refrain from having too much information available for scrutiny. It is best to stick to the minimum requirements and have the record of biological spore tests going back not longer than 7 years.
Thank you so much Steve! I was able to pass my exam today and your videos helped tremendously!
That is awesome. Congratulations and thank you for sharing your success.

What must be done with the bacterial sample after it is processed in the sterilizer?
Depends on the type of sample. 1) one type is sent to a lab 2) another type may be processed internally with proper equipment
All the video are very helpful, now I'm going to take my exam on the 19 March.
Great. Let us know how you do. Wishing you much success.
How you do? Hope all was well take mine in a week
Really, really awesome content on this chanel, thank you for that. But, does sterilisation pouches can be used only in B type of autoclaves or not?
Thank you for the post. You can use peel pouches in any sterilizer that they are approved for. Definitely all steam sterilizers.
@@BostonCareerInstitute Cool. Thank You for the answer 😊🙌.

Is this table top Sterilizer in hospitals ? I’ve seen them in dental offices
No not in hospitals. But the explanation applies to hospital sterilizers just as well.
What if your using a gas sterilizer? Does the same placement concept apply?

Excuse me .I would like to inquire about the brand/model of this machine. 🙏 Thanks you
It is an old Pelton and Crane autoclave. I don't recall the model number or name.
From 3 weeks there is always leak rate more than 2.5 one time 4.5 also ...
How we can solve this problem or what we can do
Please note that the appropriate exposure time should be set AFTER REACHING THE DESIRED STERILIZATION PARAMETERS (temperature and pressure)
You are absolutely correct, thank you for pointing this out.
Bit fancier than a pressure cooker huh.
Nah but seriously, this is some very good content. Thank you.
Thank you.
