Hi, great channel and very clear instructional for the R3 and I thought I can do this however, I found that my home being an old property the lighting circuit is not wired as the modern loop system. Now I’m stumped, can you offer any alternatives please? RT.
Great video thanks. Do you know if you could use the DualR3 with one of the manual switches on the NSPanel using the same wiring method? So you could use eWelink and the NSPanel switch interchangeably to turn on and off as a 2 way switch

Another great video but let me say that All Smart switches can be two ways as well. In fact, multi-ways. No need for special wiring.
Thanks, yes using smart scenes, but interesting with this you can leave your existing switches in place and make it smart.
@@GeekStreet Sonoff ZBMINI does that too, one light two switches controll manually and smart fir half price. You are using wrong product fir the purpose. Your scenario is one circuit and the ZBMINI accomplishes that.
The DUAL R3 is to controll two circuits/lights independently. Not one light with two switches.

The Sonoff mini allows 2 way switch
Shelly mini can also do the same functions, it’s also smaller in size so it fits into a standard light pendant.
That's because he is using wrong product fir purpose Sonoff ZBMINI does same. This guy is using a wrong switch.
Two way switch is still on one circuit. The dual Sonoff is to controll two separate circuits/lights not just one light with two switches.

This isn't the 1st switch to do this, Tuya smart switches has this functionality for more than a year.
Tuya smart switches don’t have “save last state” on any of them. So if there’s a power cut in the middle of the night all your lights will all come on when the power comes back on.
I was looking to get a circuit into my doorbell so I could connect it to my API when some one rang my door bell i could run a specific sound or turn a specific light via my own API. But i don't seem to be able to find a circuit that i could easily put in my doorbell.. any ideas? i would really appreciate it.
Eventually i would like to do the same with other switches... press a button or something at home and send a wifi signal...
As a last resource I guess i would have to connect a raspberry to my doorbell or something... but doesnt seems right

That's the easier option definitely, but your screwed if someone turns off the switch.

Fridge timers? Not sure why you would want this as shouldn't a fridge be on all the time.
I have a problem with this configuration. I have the Sonoff controlling a light and the external switch is at a distance of approx. 20 m, however it turns on and off continuously causing the light to blink a lot. If I remove the cable that is at the S1 input, the problem is solved, but I can no longer control it locally with the switch. Any ideas for a solution?
I have same problem. 2 way light switches are 35m apart (farm shed with switch at each end). The smart switch switches rapidly on and off (flashing lights) when use the switch to turn lights on but works if switches in off position and use the mobile app. Did you find a solution?

this wouldnt be done this way now -its much easyer to fit one wall switch T2UK1C-TX (wifi+ rf) then have a t2eu1c-rf switch remotelly
so you have app + 2 way switching with no aditional wiring
the remote switch is coin cell powered i only wish they had a 240v powered version with backlighting to see it at night -ive converted mine to have backlighting (using the existing status led at dim blue) and powered off 18650 lithium in the back box -lasts about 8 months on one charge powering the led with 0.3ma which matches the brightness of the mains powered switches

Hello everybody! Has anyone succeed to have it connected on Google Home? I have 6 Dual R3 which I use on motorized roller shutters which works extremely well and smooth on Ewelink app but none of them is controlled over Google Home. Despite of that I have a couple of Sonoff basic which are easily controlled over Google home and of course on Ewelink app. Is anyone able to help me? Thank you in advance

@@fabiolucheroni2094 i find an answer.the Google assistant doesn't recognise the sonoff users interface as a motor,inly as a switch . maybe in the future can recognize it as a motor switch and not as a light
Nice try. This only works if both switches are in the same box which is unlikely.
The if the sonoff is in the box with switch1 the output of switch 2 needs to travel back to the sonoff. The output going to the light will likely be in the Sw2 box. This is an additional 2 wires to be run through the wall.
My dumb switch don’t have natural wire unfortunately
