What a beautiful interview. And what a beautiful person Ali Hiader is. As an 80s kid, I was obsessed with his music but always felt he seemed arrogant. But this interview has changed that. Brings back so many memories. I miss those days. Pakistan was a beautiful country. A normal country back into days. What a waste we've become now.

I also use to listen to his Album Qarar and back those days Pakistani singers albums were hit and I think when they are young they do seem irrogent but when they leave music field they become matture.

AoA Badami bhai. Ali Haider was a year senior to me at Habib Public School. I listened to him live for the first time and could feel the goosebumps even today. He was destined to be a superstar even then. He won the competition and I came third but am proud to have competed with the Celebrity-to-be. Thankyou very very much for bringing him to us once again through your lovely podcast. You always ask relevant questions and your tongue represents our hearts. Awesome job Badami bhai. بہت ہی زبردست انٹرویو تھا، علی حیدر بھائی کو ایک زمانے کے بعد سن کر بہت اچھا لگا اور بہت سی یادیں بھی اس انٹرویو کو سن کر تازہ ہو گئیں ، میں جب جوانی میں قدم رکھ رہا تھا تو علی حیدر اور جنید جمشید ، میرے پسندیدہ ترین سنگرز تھے جن کا کیسٹ جیسے ہی مارکیٹ میں آتا تھا تو میں فوراً جا کر خریدتا تھا اور ان کے گانے اتنا سنتے تھے کہ ازبر ہو جاتے تھے آج بھی وہ کیسٹس میرے پاس محفوظ ہیں ، اللہ پاک سے دلی دعا ہے کہ وہ علی حیدر بھائی اور ان کی فیملی کو ہمیشہ شاد و آباد رکھے آمین ثم آمین ۔

Thanks Wasim Badami sb you just flashed back the old memories. I just googled one of his great album Sandesa just to listen his purani jeans.. what an album I had bought ,took it back to Iran and listen over and over again playing it in my poky sleek Aiwa walkman .... Although I was never into Pakistani and Urdu songs. but there was something magical in Ali Haider sb voice.
90s was great era with lots of unforgettable memories.
