Thank you!!! Your first tip solved the problem. I was getting distortion when I start a program in Netflix but not when I opened the app. And I got distortion on some channels but not others. It made no sense! Thanks for posting!
How about a thin *white* line across the screen (about 2 inches down from the top)? I’ve completed all of the basic possible fixes (turning Tv off at the wall for 5 minutes, changing HdMI output, checking software update)…. But the line is still there.
@@user-rd7fi7px6mnope. It’s always there now. I think it’s the white line from when the TV automatically goes into that standby mode… and burned into the screen. If you don’t press any buttons after an hour, the Tv thinks you’re not watching, so turns off the picture and sound and there’s a nasty white line there. Often when that happens late at night I just leave it and listen to a podcast or chat to the missus. Never knew the line was burning away at the screen each time. Awful TV
@@adsGBR I have a thin white line across the screen like yours but it's two inches up from the bottom, not down from the top. I don't think it's to do with standby mode as I've never seen it go into that - if it's on for a few hours with no input it just turns itself off.

That sounds like the best explanation.

I got lines in top while using Amazon Fire Tv Stick 😭😭😭
Can it be fixed I have removed all but it's not solving 😭😭
If it's only with the Fire stick, then I would check the HDMI contacts for dirt/damaged pins.
