Montre had multiple lines with each trick being better than all the other competitors top tricks. He far had more tricks more speed and better control. That was the best quad skating I have ever seen. Give that man his price.
I am astounded. There are so many things I could say, but I won't. But I will say, if you really wanted to prove your worth, you would let Barbie take her true position, and give Montre the win he deserved. then sponsor Barbie anyway, help her to achieve a bright future. Don't rig a competition to build her up on a bed of lies.
I’m trying to piece together facts of Quad Cup Street Advanced Finals Spring 2022. My insta feed is full of controversy. Apparently one of the judges shared unofficial results with at least one competitor, and subsequently admitted to the judges changing the results for purely political reasons. Was there an agreed upon rule that the scores or results could arbitrarily be adjusted like that? There was actual money on the line.
@@brittwilliams8217 damn, that’s definitely enough money to warrant major controversy, possibly even legal action! I doubt it would go that far though.
I just started watching this, I know the outcome, the comp hasn't started, but I have to say, nothing feels as close to watching an early young Tyson pre-fight staredown, as montre about to enter a quad competition. Nonetheless let's go! quad skating! I'm so happy it's making a huge comeback!
Maybe I should take up street skating. Sliding on fiberglass is my part of my rink-skating identity. Probably need different boots though, I don't think the heel helps much with speed or on ramps [if speed skating has shown me anything].
First time watching something like this. Its just me? The commentarors don't seem to be commentating on the right things and don't understand the function of commentating. I learned very little about sport, judging, penalties etc. There also seems to be an inherit bias in the way commentator would speak about different athletes.
I agree with you, there were a few times when I got the sense they were cheering for certain athletes rather than providing us with an impartial commentary. I also learned absolutely nothing about how the scoring works. It was like listening to a bunch of skaters chew the fat and cheer on competitors.
It's not the community at large, you are referring to a small pocket of people who skate in California all centered around the same rinks, parks, and Moxi. That small pocket of people is not the world's skating community.
@@internetperson5993 these goofballs were partly (or arguably largely) responsible for bringing quad skating back to the masses, but they can also be super cringy so they may also be responsible for the future downfall of quad skating 😅 it’s certainly entertaining to watch how small groups of people who happen to do the right things at the right time gain huge notoriety through social media algorithms. It’s kinda cool to see it happening live and evolving 😎
Also definitely need some new commentators/judges talking about the obstacles/course/the actual skating going on vs what everyone is wearing and their damn hairstyles. Go play with some damn bratz dolls instead😉

I agree with most of what you said. But Barbie is sponsored already. Barbie and Montre both ride for Chaya. They're both wearing her pro skates.
@@zekwilt that makes everything even more strange
Yea, Montre definitely should have won this easily.
montre was elevating the sport at this competition. organizers heads were up their asses
Montre absolutely CRUSHED it
So sick to see Montre shred quads also
Great job on the camera work thanks for posting.

Can anyone edit out the judges?
Easy, just ignore the placing and come up with the people's champion instead. Montre.
Very disappointed in the outcome 😞

YALL ROBBED MY BOY MONTRE!!!!!!!!
I have no idea how Montre didn't win. I mean were the judges watching a totally different competition?
No words really.........

Quad skating community is already starting off worse than blading. I remember the Indy Jamma Jones mess... now this...horrible.
Indy made a minor mistake and they crucified her for it. Her friends threw her under the bus. Really sad.

Quads shouldn't be with inline, We are not the same. Quads are a joke. make inline look bad. putting us back .
🤣 no lie. That's how some skaters talk about inline. Share the love
