@@Support-your-local-team Both have a losing H2H record vs England, but a lot of those wins were a long time ago. If we stick to tournaments, England’s H2H record is down 1 win on Germany (with penalty shootout wins tipping the balance). Argentina? England have a 3 vs 2 advantage at WCs, including the most recent one (2002). The number of high stakes games between England and these 2 makes them rivalries, as well as the geopolitical background. Germany don’t reciprocate the rivalry much, b it Argentina absolutely does. Games against Ireland simply haven’t had the drama or influence, in that regard I’d say Scotland and arguably Wales games have meant more, and been more consequential.
@Support-your-local-team England lead the head to head with Germany. That is a fact. No-one claimed England has won more trophies than Germany, Argentina and France. As a Brazilian, I thought Brazil-Argentina rivalry was bitter and tense. Then I discovered Ireland -England and now I think we're just kids in the playground.
As an Englishman i can tell u Brazil-Argentina will be more bitter.
@@TheBlackPrince447 Maybe in purely footballing terms yes, but the whole historical thing is much more intense in your rivalry. People singing political songs, historical songs, etc. We don't do this here, it's just football
We have a common enemy , other things to worry about
Been hoping you’d post about this game! Hopefully a great vid as always
I was never missing it! 😂
@@BlairMcNally England fan walking to the match getting dogs abuse of Ireland fans he reacted and you said English fans starting fights you sir are wanker
Was great to meet you Blair! The result wasn't to be, but that's footie. Cheers for letting my mug in your video. 😂☘️
Ireland are full of poison and your team is shit
Irish national team is God awful.
most of em aint even Irish …. shite Englishmen who couldnt make the grade with our national team … take Grelish and that two faced up the RA man Rice … soon as they get the chance they ditch the paddy team for the England set up
The rivalry is rather one sided. England's main rival is Germany, not Ireland, or Scotland for that matter. We see them as almost domestic rivals rather like Manchester United v Manchester City. Of course the reasons why Ireland and Scotland feel the way they do is all about history and has absolutely nothing to do with the sport itself.
There rivals are Ireland and Scotland brother
@DiberVakuf No they ain't. You ask any Englishman what nation they consider the main rival and it'll always be Germany.
It's more of a one-way hatred, I dont think the English think of the Irish as enemy no.1
Very depressing Irish attitude.
Well done great report as usual, taking no sides Political wise, very wise young man.
Awww means so much to the Irish. Bless them
Obviously haven’t been to an England v Argentina game then, this is like stoke v Bournemouth on a Tuesday night
I think the hatred is one way, from the Irish, the Brits dont think about Ireland at all. As a matter of fact the first chance the Brits get, they will let the North go and leave Ireland to it. Then it will be, "Ireland, wheres that "
@@williammohan9784 hate to break to to u but we feel the same way about the English!...couldn't give a toss, pity we're neighbours really, it's such a waste! We get on so much better with Spain, could u swap? X

Was glad to see England beating them yesterday as never seen so much hate! Them southern Irish are still living in the past and need to end their hatred as with singing ira songs and songs about Lizzie in a box

Lets be fair only 2,500 allocation for a bunch of shirters ,fans wise england could hardly make much impact lol 🏴
England could bring 0 fans and they would still destroy us (Éire)
It seems according to Irish fans, English fans are either hooligans with big mouths or literally the exact opposite. Which one is it?
Perpetual victims. Imagine being brought up to hate a whole country of people? Sad
We're not all like that. Just the wannabee wankers. We're as embarrassed about them as anyone else. They will be wearing their man u and Liverpool jerseys next wkd. Clowns.
The english hate the germans ffs
We are not perpetual victims ,a perpetual victim is someone or a group who blames everyone else for their misfortunes, but as bad as ireland is we can't say we are misfortunate not compared to the UK anyway.Don't judge us by a few yobs
it’s probably normal enough to hate a country that’s terrorised ur country for 800 years killed millions of your ppl and most of their ppl are cocky arrogant twats
Awwhhh did we touch a nerve u snowflake?!... its only a game, lighten up
They be going on about this atmosphere for another 800 years. More defeats, more tears but you’ll never beat the Irish - except when they get beat every single time.
Chucky Ar La!
@@Twiceonasunday Tears? Seeing the gammon steaks choke another final this summer made everyone cry in laughter. Football has been ‘coming home’ since 1966. Maybe tap more immigrants for your national team, half of them have irish or Jamaican parents as is lol
@@CharlesBliss84Jack and Declan don’t even have Irish parents look it up😂 half of your players have English in them too. Typical pale little catholic p3do
@@CharlesBliss84 Currently there's a few with a relative or two from elsewhere but the best players are all English born and bred. The same can't be said for Ireland, Scotland or Wales over many, many years as they have fielded many English players who can't get in England teams. England could field numerous sides without any of those players and still be world class anyway. Every country has players that qualify through many, various different ways. Take France for example...

Of course. He's a Tim 100%.
Good vidio blair
The only thing toxic was that many ROI fans behaved like spoilt we’uns.
Éire has the better fans in every way but England has by far the better team and league. Association Football (Soccer) is the third sport here and if you look at the second most popular sport we are among the best in the world 🏉 while the most popular sport is our national and traditional sports under the GAA ☘️
The man with the flare at the end was my dad 😂😂💚💚
I was always led to believe that Irish fans were a friendly bunch and welcoming too. On the basis of what I watched here, that’s definitely not the case. That’s sheer toxicity and serious bad manners, and the language, well that’s something else.
you were misled, they hate us....makes the win all the sweeter.
As we found walking to the ground, pure venom being spat & Irish ‘fans’ getting up in our faces purely for having an England shirt on heading to the away end.
Still, didn’t hear a peep after Jack G slid it home & the ‘competitive fixture’ became nothing more than a training session.
They’ll be back supporting Liverpool/United next week from the armchair I suspect.
Can't really make excuses for the Irish fans who were singing Lizzie in a box or fuck the English. Definitely think a lot got caught up in the occasion but a bit of rivalry is good but the amount of abuse coming from them was definitely a bit OTT.
Although you also have to remember what happened way back in 1995, and how that ended.
What did you watch exactly, a click bait title and drunk football fans 😂
What's Ur point about singing about Lizzie in a box, England fans sing ten German bombers when play Germany and did on the streets of Germany at the euros, so give over ffs@@Klynch111
How is this a rivalry? Ireland hasn't qualified for a FIFA world cup since 2002
If being a similar level historically is needed for it to be a rivalry, who are England's? It obviously can't be Germany, Argentina or France so I'll guess Greece or Denmark.
@Support-your-local-team England has a winning record against all of those nations. If you don't know what that means- England have beaten all of them more than they have beaten England .
@@clemfandango619 First of all Germany have the better head to head against England. More importantly though, Germany, Argentina and France have won 7, 19 and 4 major trophies. How are England remotely comparable to any of them?
England and Scotland have played 116 times and England are ahead by only 7. Is that quite an even rivalry then?
The cold hard fact remains that those nations have more losses than wins against England. Greece and Denmark have 9 World Cup appearances between them. England has 16. You allow your anglophobia to get the better of your common sense.
Come to Serbia or Croatia when/if we next play each other no need to go back 800 years, and it's not kids like here either. Though we should not bring politics into it we should let our shared love of the football unite us.
Ireland v England rivalry is a bit like England v Germany rivalry. A one way street. But good to see Jack n Dec dishing out the ultimate shithousery.
England vs Germany in recent years is definitely a rivalry and not a one way street.
Germany is the big one for me The rivalry with Ireland or Scotland doesn't come close , England fan.
TBH I get and understand all the rivalry thing but the carry on and HATE from the Irish was a bit much. Heck Scotland is a bigger rival to England and I don't believe for 1 second they would go on as much as the Irish did in this video.
Small nation mentality for Scotland, Ireland. That is why their identity is so important to them
