Football is the fourth most popular sport in the country so naturally we don't have many great clubs. Also our ancestors immigrated to England and grew up naturally supporting english clubs. These reasons is what lead a SMALL PROPORTION of irish people to support english clubs, particularly liverpool and everton due to almost all scousers having irish ancestors who built the city🇮🇪🍀

Ireland didn't become an independent nation in 1916 Blair. That rebellion was quickly squashed and the English executed fourteen of its fifteen leaders. The man who was spared was spared because he had American citizenship and the English didn't want to upset the Americans.
He later went on to become the President of Ireland (Eamon de Valera).
The war of independence was fought between January 1919 up until the Anglo-Irish (Peace) Treaty was signed in 1921 which partitioned the country in two - giving twenty six of Ireland's thirty two counties "free state" status - however, still within the British Empire.
But fair play for giving the rivalry some context! It's what makes these vlogs stand out 👏

Argentina? England have a 3 vs 2 advantage at WCs, including the most recent one (2002).
The number of high stakes games between England and these 2 makes them rivalries, as well as the geopolitical background. Germany don’t reciprocate the rivalry much, b it Argentina absolutely does.
