Webinar 2023 10 19 Dave Walden on INCOSE SE Handbook 5 edition

INCOSE Sweden hosted a webinar on October 19 2023 providing an overview of the SE Handbook Fifth Edition released in 2023 presented by the editor-in-chief David Walden.
The objective of the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) Systems Engineering Handbook is to describe the state-of-the-good-practice for Systems Engineering. It serves as the basis for the INCOSE certification examination. The handbook effort is led by an Editorial Team from across the globe (representing all three INCOSE sectors) with the support of the INCOSE Working Groups (WGs) and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). This presentation provides an overview of the handbook Fifth Edition released in 2023. It describes the overall impetus for change, highlights changes from the previous Fourth Edition, and describes the new content added for this version. The primary purpose of this presentation is to inform the systems engineering community of the changes incorporated into the Fifth Edition.
David D. Walden, ESEP, is co-owner and principal consultant for Sysnovation (sys - no - vation), a Systems Engineering training and consulting firm he formed in 2006. Previously, he was with General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems and McDonnell Aircraft Company. Dave was the Editor-in-Chief of the INCOSE SE Handbook. He is an INCOSE liaison to ISO/IEC JTC1/SC7 Working Groups 10 and 22. He was awarded the INCOSE Founder Awrad in 2022.
