Once again I'd like to state Rip should read audio books for children :)

Road to Doc since last year when I read your comment, every time I replay an audio podcast I keep thinking the same thing with your comment. If someone can really imitate Rip on his vocal mannerisms they would make for great youtube content. The only problem with someone making an audio children's book would violate copyright laws so anyone that can best do it would have to have publishers permission. I also I can't imagine Rip volunteering at an elementary school to read to little kids. Every book would just sound more like an instruction book and Rip would just take any story and just provide his own commentary. At the end he'll tell kids to drink a quart a milk a day because they are underweight and they need to get strong and get their 8 hours of sleep everyday so that can be fully recovered for their next class.

Rip would have a heart attack if he saw the ads that TH-cam are playing over his videos. This one is for a home gym machine that looks to be about as far from barbell training as humanly possible.... :)

My first 4 months in the military I gained 40 lbs of muscle with zero weight lifting. (I started at 125) All it took was thousands of extra calories every day. It took another 29 years to add 20 lbs of lard. Time to get strong!

Ugh, yet another person slandering alternate 3 pound dumbell seated swiss ball presses. Although the competition A3PDSSBP in multi-ply compression clothing has been proven to provide little or no stimulus for adaptation, that's just not how they're done by most lifters in training. Until a very expensive, peer reviewed study with at least 11 participants disproves hypertrophic and neural adaptation from the RAW A3PDSSBP movement, it can't be ignored as the core of any strength training regimen.

I always listen to Rip's advice when it comes to technique, programming, etc. But I just can't get myself to listen to his nutritional advice. I mean, 6000 kcals? For a complete beginner?

6000kcals isn't that extreme for someone working very hard, especially since that number includes GOMAD.

You can certainly make progress on less than 6000 calories, but it will be slower progress.

i am literally on food stamps broke and i have enough money to get in 6k calories. you just have to know how to cook, don't be scared of fat, and a big appetite. think about a meal like this
6 whole eggs (approx 50cents, based on where i live)
2 medium potatoes, made into hashbrowns with 1 tablespoon butter (approx 25c total)
4oz of ham (50cents or so, don't buy the fancy ham)
4 slices of whole grain toast (it's 2.50 a loaf here, so this will be the most expensive at around 75c)
put 2 tablespoons of peanut butter on the toast (maybe 10c?)
a handful of cooked spinach (50c?)
wash it down with 16z of whole milk (50c)
this meal costs 3 dollars and 10 cents, it's about 1800 calories. just an example.

Yeah, that never happened because it's impossible.
But I'm sure your adoring fans are going to swallow it whole and ask for seconds.

PanzerKami eat all your normal meals (assuming. 2-3k calories 3-4 meals) throw in a quart of milk at every meal. Bound to put on weight maybe not that fast but pretty close.
