It’s a tough call to make.
I highly doubt other nations would drop their star players but at the same time you understand it because the performances have been well below par.
If Mbappe was struggling, you wouldn’t see France drop him.

Why is it such a big deal if Bellingham is dropped. He isn’t the teams best player and if anything, he’s the player stopping England from playing foden in his best position. Either move Bellingham next to rice or drop him.
Unpopular opinion, but quite sounds. England and France are unbalanced because of their best player. The question is: Will this player score and create more chances, than the squad can do without him on the pitch. Since then, both players have failed to.

Bellingham isn’t the best player🤣. He could arguably be the worst out of starting 11. No creativity, ability on the ball, hold up play and constantly loses possession. He’s trash. Foden should be no. 10
What about....Foden on the bench due to flying home for birth of 3rd child? Allow Palmer to start at 10 & bring Phil on 2nd half. Leave Saka on right put Gardner on left. The rest is as started 2nd half v Slovenia with Mainoo alongside Rice
Yeah, I agree with Jason. Foden at 10, Mainoo with Rice, Gordon on the left, Bellingham on the bench. You can only have 11 on the pitch' so you're going to have good players on the bench.

I have a weird thought that Southgate is going to do the following - With Foden going back to the UK, I think Southgate will use that as an excuse to drop him on Sunday, by saying he is tired and has not trained - Then England play the very mediocre team and WIN and Southgate will then use that as a reason for keeping a winning team - Southgate has never known how to deal with the Foden / Bellingham situation and this situation is going to play right into his hands BUT I hope I am wrong as Foden should be in that team
